I was just wondering if sugar free kool-aid is ok? This is my third week and I've been pretty good with drinking water, but I'd just like a little something different. I remeber my consultant saying something about crystal light, but I can't stomach that stuff. Too sweet for me, so I was just wondering if any of you guys drink it.

I bought some of the sugar-free Kool-Aid tonight, and plan to start using it. I was using Crystal Light, which I love, but I was dismayed to find out that it contains aspartame. My husband and I have decided to cut aspartame and splenda out of our diets completely, due to all of the health concerns. I have been using stevia as a sweetener, and I'm going to try adding some of it to the sugar-free Kool-Aid.

Sugar-free koolaid is fine. Though I thought it too was made with the aspartame. Check the label. The pre-sweetened sugar-free koolaid is rather expensive. I was buying the unsweetened and using Splenda for the kids. I am sure you could substitute any artificial sweetener that you prefer.

There is a difference between sugar-free Kool-Aid and UNSWEETENED. The sugar-free is sweetened with non-nutritive sweetener. The unsweetened is the type where you add sugar (or any other sweetener) yourself. Please check your labels before you buy and make sure you are getting the type you want.

I stand corrected. What I bought was the unsweetened drink mix. The sugar-free mix is the one that comes with an artificial sweetener already mixed in. There is a difference.
