I'm pretty sure it's eight 8-oz glasses of water a day -- this can include your other drinks. I try to shoot for 5 glasses of water, three of something else (usually coffee!!) I've noticed that a lot of people who don't like plain water drink Crystal Light, which seems to work really well.
take care,

I've been drinking 10 oz of water with each meal and snack. There's a total of 6 meals/snacks so I have 60 oz a day. That's an easy way for me to keep track. I figure whatever works for you as long as you drink the water.

ditto for 8 8oz, but i just say lots, and lots, and lots of water. If it is boring just put a lemon slice in it. That tastes better.

drink as much water as you can stand. i usually drink two huge nalgenes a day (thats about 128 ounces) it really does help you lose weight. also, don't count any caffinated drinks as water. chug chug chug!!!

A good rule of thumb is an 8 oz glass for every 20 pounds you weigh. At the beginning, I rounded up to 200 pounds..so that was 10 8 oz glasses a day. Now I could never down that much, because I was going to the bathroom every 5 minutes. I also try to mix in Crystal Light, and reward myself with a Diet Coke at lunch.
