Hey everyone, I've been on JC for about 2 months and have lost 11 pounds so far (two of the 8 weeks I don't really count as "weight loss weeks" because I was out of town for the entire week- but I didn't gain those weeks). I am finding that I am able to go out to dinner about two times a week and eat what I want (using portion control) and still lose weight. I lose anywhere from 1-3 pounds per week. I've found that being able to still eat what I want under certain conditions is keeping me sane, but I'm confused as to why I'm still losing weight. I feel like I'm cheating. Is anyone else doing this?

Your losing weight because you are still young and your metabolism hasn't slowed down yet. When I was a student, I could eat more and still lose weight providing I didn't go way overboard. As you age, your metabolism will slow down a lot and you won't be able to eat as much as when you were younger. Enjoy it now! Also, if you are exercising then you will burn up the calories.
My mom and I would be on a diet together when I was in high school and college and I'd get hungry way before she would and she couldn't understand why I was hungry a few hours after eating. I understand it now as I'm older. It's all about the metabolism.
If you do eat too much over a period of time, that will catch up with you. Moderation!! Moderation!! Good luck. Count your blessings!!
