Hi! Ive been reading the boards and have got some good information about the foods. I go tonight for my first week weigh-in. Im not expecting too much, but my fingers are crossed for some sort of loss.
My goal is 50 pounds. I was wondering if anyone out there lost weight without exercising? I have spinal arthritis and the reason i have gained weight is im not able to exercise a whole lot. I am trying to avoid surgery as well and hopefully the weight loss will do that for me. If anyone would like to chat, please let me know.

This is my first week as well. I weigh in tomorrow night (Friday) for the first time. Excited to see what I have done. I hope we all keep in touch, please feel free to e-mail me as well.

i have been on jenny for 8 weeks thats 2 months and have lost 24 pounds and 13 in a half inches with no exercise but I do drink LOTS of water and walk my doggie about 7 times a day and I walk up a long flight of stairs everyday to get to my living room so im not just sitting on my butt but I haven't gone to the gym yet and I am still kicking butt

Hi Gin9. I've been on JC for a little over 5 weeks and I haven't added any exercise yet and I've lost weight. I have arthritis in my knees and feet and is a big reason why I also gained in the first place. Eating wrong foods in the wrong amounts didn't help either! When I first went in to JC, I told them about my arthritis. My consultant took me to the "losers" board and showed me a before & after photo of a lady with severe arthritis who uses a cane. She lost somewhere in the range of 100 lbs. So yes, you can lose without added exercise tho it may take a while longer. But it's still losing! Good luck on your weigh in!

my first weigh in has been postponed to sat as tonight, thur, is only 6 days..and i was first weighed in the am, not the pm. There was no weight loss tonight. Thats okay, i learned a lot from this week though. I havent been eating the bars like i should be. How did you guys like the bars? Im not liking them too much, but apparently we get used to them?

Thank you for the info on the arthritis. That was very helpful to hear all of that. Keep me updated please with what and how your all doing!

I didn't like the nut bar things at all, but really like the honey peanut butter. Have you tried them yet?

hi, whats the nut bar thing lol...i have had the fruit bar and just tried the peanut bar today - liked it much better then the fruit bar. I am used to eating powerbars, and some are pretty disgusting, so these are okay.
I had the new shrimp teryaki dinner tonight and i loved it. I added some spicy sauce to it and i could honestly eat that more then once a week. Its limited though - have you tried it yet?

Sorry, Fruit and Nut bars. I WISH there were nut bars (besides just me!) available. Yes, quite like the peanut butter ones. I wish not everything was coated in chocolate tho; a nice crunchy granola bar would be nice. I don't know of anything like that from Jenny -- but it's only my first week of food so I'm not sure of everything that's available.

there isnt a ton of variety thats for sure so no granola bars. i went into the section "dietician" and it was interesting the questions people were asking. It helps a lot knowing different things that you wouldnt have thought about asking. i thought i would be completely restricted but the free foods unlimited is huge...so keep those in mind as well when organizing your day. I keep forgetting to add salads to my lunches which would help tremendously during the days while at work.

Hello! I just joined today and I am so looking forward to losing weight! I have need to for quite some time, but recently, beginning with Hurricane and Katrina, and ending with Hurricane Wilma, my eating has been out of control like never before (STRESS!!!!!). SO I decided, since I had to throw away everything from the fridge anyway (due to H. Wilma), that this would be a good time to go forward. Plus, I have been eating all kinds of 'comfort' food due to the stress of the storm.
Help! I need buddies!!!
