Hello fellow September Stars. How is your program doing? So far, it's good for me... this is my sixth week and I've lost 14 pounds... averaging at 2.8 pounds per week, so if I keep up at this rate of ten pounds per month, by Spring, I'll be down to 135 from 205. Wowza. Right now I'm at 191 and anticipate that my next weigh will take me back to the 80s. Wham, here I come!
angelite1111
I am doing great so far also....I am on my 5th week and lost a total of 18 pounds. yahoo...I am happy with life in general..I love the food and and starting to actually get into the exercise...never thought I would say that...lol
ladymanager5
I'm loving the program too. Monday's 4 wk weigh-in put me at a total of 14.2 lbs and 10" lost! This weekend I'm going to start incorporating more physical activity, maybe mowing the majority of the 1/2 acre yard with the push mower instead of the rider.

way to go fellow septemberians. tomorrow is my wi and i know that i have passed my 20 lbs by halloween ( i dont do the official wi iuntil AM. so that is the weight i go by) BUT i feel amazing so far almost like i found myself again. When i quit smoking 3 yrs ago i was 180 to begin w. and i gained almost 50 lbs. i started JC at 236 OMG.. and i am now at 214 since sept 6 it feels great to see the numbers go down on the scale instead of going up and to start to fit into clothes instead of fitting out i know i have a long way to go but i feel like i have found myself again and it feels fantastic.

Hello, hello, hello! I have been in JC for over 6 weeks now and 21 lbs down!! YESS feels nice and something else to report, my LARGE fall coat (not X LARGE) fits me pretty nicely So this is REALLY paying off!! Cheers to us all and stay away from that Halloween candy Besides, I have other plans for Halloween other than to eat candy Keep up the good work ladies~

he-he, I guess that would be me too.
Same ol'same ol'. Glad you all are doing so well. Makes me proud of all of you!
snackmom
wow, you guys are losing way more weight than me... are you all on 1500 calorie diets? Hm, maybe they're keeping me on 1500 because I'm still nursing? Anyhow, I guess I shouldn't look a gift horse in the mouth and take my 14 pounds off as a good thing, but when I see something like 25 pounds in 6 weeks, I think WHOA MAMA... but even then, I hear that the usual "typical result" is a single pound a week, and were I doing Lindora, I would pay five times as much and still lose 1-2 pounds per week... thank God I didn't go with Lindora!

Hi September Stars. I am down 10 lbs. on 5 weeks. I am half-way to goal, so I am doing the 5 days of Jenny and 2 days of my own. It feels great to be getting back into some of my clothes again. Go Sept. Stars, we rock!
SirenWA
Just back from my 7th weigh-in... another 2.2 pounds! That makes a total of 13 lbs in 7 weeks.
Happy camper I am!

Good stuff Siren and snackmom, I am on 1500 cal!! Its working really well for me but don't get discouraged, my time is gonna slow down. I have been really downing in the water, no less than 80oz per day and all of that. You are ALL doing well, keep it up
Namaste,

does coffee and soda count for water? LOL. I think total liquids, I must go through 3 Arrowhead bottles a day... so that's 30 ounces, and then a couple cups of coffee, uh, 10 more ounces, then a soda, so 10 more ounces, that would then be, holy heck... only 50 ounces of fluid a day...
do you really think it's the excessive water that does the trick? maybe it's because it's got the body working all the time to process the waste out that you're forcing it to burn extra calories, Mystic?
how the heck can I force myself to drink more water???
do you drink anything other than water, Mystic?
mysticneptune
Hey snackmom, honestly I think it helps! I haven't touched a diet soda in so long... and its tough but I stick with the water. And also keep an eye on the sodium you are consuming. I was told by someone you can consume up to 2000 mg of sodium a day but my consultant said 1000mg. And no I don't drink anything really other than water and tea (herbal caffeine free tea does count as a water btw) and I am a tea lover

Happy Halloween/Blessed Samhain or whatever is right for you Either way I hope you are all being good and staying away from those malefic objects, which we call CANDIES!!!! I have done well and have a reason for it, Yep lost another 3 lbs, so now down 24 lbs... I think next week I am going to finally know what my exact number is and quit being such a wimp So I am happy and determined to keep up the good work!!!

I hope i can always remain that willful. Bought all candy that i do not like hence no chocolate for our little ghouls and ghosts in the neighborhood. let the holidays begin.good luck sept stars for another new month

Ok, what am I doing wrong??? Only 9 lb. down since Sept. 22. I don't have the breakfasts as they are full of sugar, which I don't need. Getting discouraged!
SirenWA
Yaffahere,
Are you substituting the breakfasts? If you are just skipping them, that may be your problem. Breakfast kick starts your metabolism in the morning and the JC meals are nutritionally balanced. By skipping them you may be putting your system into starvation mode (holding onto fat!)
On another note... 9 lbs in 6 weeks is a good loss! It means that you're losing more than a lb a week and that's healthy!! Try not to get discouraged, keep on track and you WILL get there!!

yafa, go through the JC breakfasts one by one, and rank them by sugar content, then just buy the lowest. they really help me stay motivated, because they taste so good. and don't feel bad about your rate of loss, b/c it is healthy and more likely to last when it is not so fast. good luck!

newwoman
Thank you for the encouraging words! I have shredded wheat (measured), non-fat soy milk and a fruit for breakfast. I found out a long time ago that sweet breakfasts set me up with cravings all day, so I try to avoid them.
I probably need more exercise. I also needed to be reminded that 9 lb. off is 9 lb. gone. Thank you for that!
Hope everyone has an easy week.

Hello Stars!
I am still pertty happy with the program. I have had some challenges, but I think that is part of this whole weight loss journey. I am 17.6 pounds down from when I started on September 6th. I wanted to lose 20 by Halloween, but I fell a little short. I am actually okay with that because I am still feeling better than what I did before I started JC.
I am surprised that I am still enjoying the food. At first I was so worried about whether I would be able to stay on track, but I am doing it. It helps to have a great online support buddy. I love this program and plan on being on it for a long time.
Great work everyone!
snackmom
Frankie, you're doing 2.6 pounds better than me. We started the same time. I'm just happy I've lost 15 pounds. Holy cow. So we have New Year's to work toward... hopefully that will be another 10 pounds and we can say we lost 25 pounds by January 1st. Gosh, that will bring me to 180 pounds... okay, new mini-goal... my new goal is to get to 179 by January 1st.
Anyone else pledging ten pounds lost by January 1st?
FrankieandJosie
I need to get through my first goal of 20 by Halloween! I have been working out really hard this week, so I am hoping I will do it on the next weigh in.
After that, I will definitely try for another 10 by Jan. 1. WE CAN DO THIS!!! That sounds like a great goal!
After that we will see where we are. But I really wanted to try to lose another whole 20 by Feb. 8th, my big 30! I really want to look great to enter into my 30s.
At this point, I think I have about 41 pounds to lose before I reach my goal. That is why I always will say that I have (# pounds) to lose by (this date). I need that entire 61 pounds that I had to lose to be a smaller goal or it is too overwhelming!
FrankieandJosie
I don't know if that last post made sense to anyone but me! LOL!!
I should probably start proofing my posts!

You folks who get discouraged losing 5 pounds a month or so are really doing yourself a disservice. My best friend lost 120 pounds (about 5 pounds a month, took her two years) but has stayed at the same weight (she's tall) of about 150 for the whole 12 years, varying by only a pound or so up and down. Someone wrote they "only" lost 10 pounds last month .. that's 360 pounds in three years! You'll be a negative most likely!
sueshine

SugarMama
Long time no see everyone. I'm back for some encuragement. I've been slipping for the last 2 weeks. Started when I had a ZERO loss at my weigh in. Te next week I was down 1.5 (only because I had dental work done and couldn't eat). This week I gained .6 and I am so depressed. I really wanted to reach my 20 lb. goal by Halloween and totally screwed up. I ate a bunch of candy. I have to get back on track because I'm going to Cancun in February and I refuse to go looking like a cow. Josie, you and I sure seem to be on the same track everytime I read your posts. Same SW, same loss, same height. Good luck all!
snackmom
I'm back on track after the mini-splurge from Haloween. Frankie, if you're talking about losing 20 pounds by Halloween, that's come and gone-- you can now focus on Thanksgiving to meet your goal. I think I'm getting there. My scale is now out of the 190s and happy at 189, so I totally believe I can get to 179 by New Years. YAY!
Sueshine, way to go on 23.5 pounds lost! hope you get yourself a new dress to celebrate your birthday! And one SMALL piece of cake won't kill you.
And Sugarmama, it's okay you had a couple of lost weeks, just get back on the horse.
buddums66
