You must begin to think of yourself as becoming the person you want to be.
You must do the thing you think you cannot do.
Your goals, minus your doubts, equal your reality.
You're never beaten until you admit it.
You've got to say, I think that if I keep working at this and want it badly enough I can have it. It's called perseverance.
Take care of your body. It's the only place you have to live.

If you haven't exercised for a while, it will take a bit of time for your muscles to get used to the movements. You're probably using leg muscles you haven't used in a long time. Last weekend I rode a bike for the first time in a while and I was sore in a lot of places.
Once you get used to it and your muscles get stronger, it will diminish

and, please remember, if you get really SORE- your body also needs recovery time. Take 1 day off from exercising, and be sure to get plenty of sleep. Your muscles need sleep to recover.
My boyfriend who is a weight-lifter, also swears that taking some extra Vitamin C helps repair muscles after a workout.

You didn't say if you had been exercising before?
How long is the tape, 1 mile, 2 mile, 3 mile?
All these things have to be taken into consideration.
Make sure you stretch after your workout.

Which tape are you using?
I bought the Strength Walk and love it.
Make SURE you follow her instructions! She has you start out slow but if that is too fast for you then go slower. You don't have to do the speed they are at on the tape.
Keep up your pace and do it 3 times a week instead of every day until you are able to keep up.
I hope this helps.

Hi, I'm new to JennyCraig but I use to be a fitness instructor when I was younger. If you haven't been exercising ,the pain is normal. Your muscles are not use to the exercise. I get terrible pain in my shins when I am out of shape. I try to warm up and stretch and then stretch again after i'm done. If you are in good shape and have been exercising all along, then there might be a problem. I have been exercising for years and when I walk my shins still hurt..chronic shin splints...yuk!! I hope you feel better soon, don't get discouraged.
