Hi all,
This may not be the only place to post this question so I will place it on another board as well, but what kinds of cereals would be the equivelant of the cereals JC offers so that I can buy my own?

I know Kashi is one. Not sure what else.

I like Post's Great Grains cereal. I believe 1/2 c is equal to 2 starch, 1/2 fruit, 1/2 fat (its stated on the box).

I like bran flakes and I add my own raisins or dried cranberries.
Take a JC cereal packet with you the next time you go shopping and compare the nutrician labels - I would think that would give you a wide variety to choose from.

I buy Fantastic Foods hot cereals in the little tubs (the 1.6 oz. size, not the 2.6 oz. size). I also buy shredded wheat. Kashi Good Friends in another good one.
I also make my own sunshine sandwiches and freeze them ahead of time. I am experimenting with making my own muffins, too. From commercial mixes, but with a few changes to the recipe--such as replacing any liquid and oil with buttermilk or nonfat yogurt, and replacing the eggs with Egg Beaters.
I make low fat soups and chili, too.

Nature's Choice. I buy Kamut or Millet one, considering that all flour we use usually is wheat, those ancient grains are very good for you. Also, it contains MUCH les sugar than every other cereal. In Canada they are available in Save of foods. I also add Kellogs All bran buds - it contains 10 times more fiber than any other cereal. I add raising and frutis to it myself.

I like Simply Fiber. It has 14 gm of fiber per cup and only 100 calories.
