Hello everyone. You all seem to know all kinds of exercises so I thought I would ask you. I sprained my ankle two weeks ago and my doctor told me not to walk. That was my main exercise, along with pilates and short weight-training. The pilates puts a little bit of strain on my ankle, so I have been focusing on abs and arms weights. I used to walk up and down 7 flights of stairs twice a day at work to release stress and frustrations, but I cannot do that now. I really need some form of aerobic activity. I do not belong to the campus rec center (but at this point I'm willing to join just to get moving). Unfortunately, the water classes are full and open enrollment starts again in March. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Can you use a stationery bike at low resistance?

Don't know how long you are going to be out of commission, but what about a workout video for people with limited mobility? If you go to
www.collagevideo.com, you can look for videos in the "special situations" section, and find chair-aerobics- type workouts.
