I eat the fish and chips usually once a week, but lately the chips side of the equation has been decreasing in both size and quantity. Last night, I had 4 pieces of potato--one large and three small. $6.29 seems like alot to pay for that. I'm still getting only two pieces of chicken in the Chicken Carbonara, and that's $6.29 too. The Chicken Fettucine has substantially more chicken.

I can't stand some of the inconsistencies in the portions of the the JC food. I've definitely noticed it with the Fish & Chips, sometimes there are 10 big chips, sometimes 4 small ones. It's very annoying.
I've also noticed it a lot with the topping on the Pesto Pizza -- sometimes there's a lot of pesto and a scrap of cheese, sometimes there's tons of cheese and a drop of pesto. Not to mention the tomato, sometimes there are lots of tomato chunks sometimes one tiny piece.

I've gotten to the point where I will open a few entrees to see which has the portion size I am hungry for. Otherwise, I sometimes will end up with a really small portion when i am HUNGRY or a huge one when I don't need it. It's really really frustrating!

anyone tried making fish tacos with these? i had them last week from the creative recipes cookbook and they were so yummy with some salsa and a little coleslaw! Bake the fish for sure instead of microwave. They were very filling and the fresh lime gave it a little kick...i was just missing the margaritas !

I love this dinner!!! I cook it in the oven, and it makes the fish and chips crispy. It's awesome. I was pleasantly surprised with this one!

I tried the fish & chips for the first time this week. I micro-nuked it for 2 minutes and then I put them in my non-stick skillet. It made the fish and chips extra crunchy and was delicious. Made light coleslaw to go with it and had a great meal.

I noticed the first time I tried the Chicken Carbanaro that there was a good amount of chicken but lately only 2 small pieces. It seems some improvements were made to the pizzas which I used to find to be a jumbled mess like before they were frozen someone shook the box. More consistency is needed though.

I agree I had fish and chips last night and there were only 4 chips. 1 was large and 3 were small. My mom even noticed the change in the size of the chips in the fish and chips.

So strange - I had three large pieces of potato, and four or five smaller ones. If portion control is so important, then why aren't they making an effort to keep it consistent?

For the first time, I experienced the inconsistant portion issue tonight. I was sooooo hungry, and I ended up with 3 large potato's and 2 small. The last F & C meal I had was full of lots of potato's. It was a bummer tonight!!!!

Ok, you have convinced me to try the Fish and Chips again and cook it in the oven. I had it once and hated it because of the seemingly smaller portion size and mushy texture.
Thanks for the tips!

I love the Fish and Chips cooked in the oven. It's my favorite meal.
The differences in portion sizes is pretty consistent across all the meals. It does get frustrating. Everyone of those chips are important to me. I've accidently dropped one a few different place over the past months. You bet I went after them. Nope, I at least did not steal it back from the cat... except to throw it out.

I agree with you there... I noticed the same thing with the breakfast scramble ... with one I had the potatoes were small and diced the next one I had was big chunks of potatoes like the ones used in the meatloaf dinner... I wish they would get it together with that too!
