Awesome!!!! I just tried it tonight; volumized by adding sauteed sliced mushrooms and a little parm cheese. YUM! Definitely one of my favorites now!
Ladyivyusa
I thought it was just ok.I would order it again.
alimatic
For me it was OK too but I didn't add any extras. It was nice to have the bacon in there. I miss bacon. I would order it again.
trudy
Tried it once and that enough for me, it was just to plain and watery. Oatmeal Bar was ok, for a quick out the door, but nothing to sing about!
jvsjrod2
for me it was ok too, I think it could've used more flavor, but I would order it again,

Wow, I'm surprised at the lukewarm response! I really love the Chicken Carbonara. It's a nice break from the Chicken Fettuccine. And you know from me as a half Italian who can cook, that's a rave!
All it needs on top is a little grated cheese and some chopped garlic, basil or parsley. I might experiment with putting a little skim milk in it to make the sauce creamier. Even some diced tomatoes or sun-dried tomatoes would probably work well too. But even as-is it's very good!
Yamilehi
I did not like the Chick Carbo...not enough sauce nor flavor and the peas were not great either. First and last time I order it.

I really liked the chicken carbonara. I've had it twice. 1st time just m/w it. 2nd time added sundried tomato & sliced artichoke hearts. Very good both times. Surprised at the luke warm response.

I am going to try this tonight. I am looking forward to it.
theaterjunkie76
Had it for dinner a couple of hours ago! Very good!
Imabeachgirl
I really liked the chicken carbonara. I will buy it again.

I was surprised. I hear everyone rant about how good it was, but I didnt think it had much flavor at all. I could detect a mild sweetness, but that was it. Is it my taste-buds, or is there a way to jazz it up?
Winning Loser
I think it has more flavor than the chicken fetuccine, especially because of the ham, which is like pancetta (it's all about the ham with carbonara). And I thought the peas were good. They're supposed to be a part of chicken carbonara. The only criticism I can give it is that it does need more sauce and the sauce should be creamier - a little more like the chicken fetuccine. The reason it lacks some flavor is that they're making it without butter. More salt would help - Just add some parmesan or romano cheese and perhaps I'll try to add a little skim milk to increase the sauce while I'm heating it up. I'm going to experiment with this and if I find any way to really improve the sauce I'll let you know.
Attagirl66
It was tasty enough but had only two chunks of chicken. I've bought it again for next week. Chicken fettucine remains my favorite.

I DID NOT LIKE IT. WAS SURPRISED TO HEAR SOMEONE SAID IT WAS WATERY. MINE WAS SO DRY SOME OF THE PASTA ACTUALLY GOT CRUNCHY-I WON'T BE ORDERING IT AGAIN.
Yamilehi
Yup, the chick carbo I had was also dry, no sauce and the pasta looked dry and was very hard. I did not like it at all
Sunny76
I really liked it!! I ordered several this week.
ICANDUIT
I wasn't too thrilled with it the 1st time I ate it~I thought it was a bit dry. I decided to add some fat free cream cheese to it and it really makes all the difference Give it a try~it makes it so creamy!!! Good luck to everyone

I think some foods take a few times to get used to. I liked this one from the start, but I can understand why it was just so so for some people. I still prefer the fettuccine though.
Col2940
I've had great ones and lousy watery ones. I like the dish, but sometimes it is not prepared right. i wish it were more consistent.
Flova
considering I'm Italian, i was shocked at how good this was!

i do mine in the oven tho so it doesnt get watery as some suggested earlier via microwave.

yum!

I think Lean Cuisine's Chicken Carbonara is better than JC's. It has more flavor and they're virtutally identical in nutrition info.

Ditto. I just LOVE this entree! (and I eat it without anything added).

I love the Chicken carbonara, it's one of my favorite dinners!!!! I steam cauliflower, chop it up small and then pour the chicken carbonara all over the top, it's so filling.

I gotta say I am so surprised some folks don't like this meal - it's my definte favorite.

To each his own - I HATE the salad kits but know some folks love them...

Thanks ICANDUIT for the tip to make the sauce creamier - I am going to try that!
KrisW
Definitely one of my favorites. I like adding broccoli to mine (but I add broc to almost everything). Artichoke hearts are a great idea!
chey145
OMG, I literally threw mine out the moment it came out of the microwave... I could not stomach the bacon smell (I am not a fan of bacon, but usually can handle the smell of it) I totally won't buy that one again.
cinnamonhrts
I've liked this one too and eat it about twice a week. But sometimes it's dry. And sometimes my chicken bits are grizzle so they're uneatable. It's never consistant.
I sprinkle Parmesan cheese on it for a little extra flavor. But this and Chicken Parmesan are weely regulars on my menu.

I was warned by my JC to be careful of the higher sodium amounts in Lean Cusine, but w/o knowing how much sodium is in JC, I have no comparison.

if u have the time, heat it in the oven instead - huge difference!

Maybe I'll try it a second time and volumize, but it wasn't the best thing I've had on the menu. I definitely prefer the chicken fettucine.

wldgrl
I tried this meal for the first time yesterday. My initial thought was "where's the sauce?" but, upon letting the meal rest after microwaving and stirring, which I often don't do, I thought it was very good. I haven't had the chicken fettucine in a while-- so I can't compare the two together. I am fond of any of the meals with sauce and noodles, though, and I will be ordering this again.

I work in a warehouse/depot so we don't have a kitchen facility. A lot of my meals are nuked and eaten without a lot of volumizing or fanfare. We don't really have a 'breakroom'. I usually bring a salad in a container which doubles as my plate. I push the salad to the side and once I microwave the JC meal I pour it into the container and have my salad and JC meal next to each other. I hope they continue this meal since I am a great fan of penne pasta.
