I had posted how i am dearly missing the veggie burger and someone responded with something i find to be true--are there too many pasta dishes?
i love the florentine ravioli, but b/w that, the cheese ravioli, penne, lasagna, and all sorts of others...i really wish they still had some of the old foods i loved! ESPECIALLY that veggie burger, and i actually liked the island chicken!
Although, i am very pleased to see that more food now is made with whole wheat and brown rice.

Do you like the turkey burger? It's one of my favorites.

The tukey burger is great. I was skeptical about how small it was (it was my first lunch with JC), but it filled me up and tasted great! I just added a little onion, ketchup, and mustard.

sometimes i wish they had something as simple as a ham and turkey sandwich or bagel and cream cheese, instead of all the pasta dishes. i like them, but sometimes i want something less processed...

Hi, I'm new here and have been thinking about joining Jenny after seeing all of the Valerie commercials. I noticed this thread about the pasta dishes.
I have been using WW and LC frozen dinners and have just tried some of the Safeway Eating Right entrees. What I do with the pasta dishes, the type that are pasta, meat and sauce, is to add about half a pound or more of frozen broccoli or other non starchy vegetable, a little lemon juice and whatever other seasonings sound good. I pop the frozen dinner out of it's plate into a bigger bowl with the broccoli and microwave the whole thing for about 6 minutes, take it out and stir and then give it another 3 or 4 minutes in the micro.
You end up with a big amount of food, the sauces in the above dinners along with a little lemon juice are enough to cover the broccoli, and you have a great way to get in all of your veggies for the day.
The ones I usually use are WW Tuna Casserole (add lemon juice, lemon pepper and tabasco) LC Lemongrass Chicken or Thai Chicken (add lemon juice, lemon pepper, ginger and tabasco) or basically any meal with cut up pieces of meat and rice and sauce.
Are there any Jenny meals that would lend themselves to doing this?

The Florentine Ravioli is being discontinued and they're replacing it with a Mesquite Chicken dinner.

Mesquite Chicken sounds good, can't wait to try something new. Do you know when it is due out?

Supposed to be here in July.
It says it's a chicken breast with a smoky flavor, covered in a rich glaze with potatoes and broccoli.

I personally like the pasta dishes, and most of them don't contain the peppers that I am allergic to. I'm appalled that the one they plan to discontinue is the Florentine Ravioli. It is the best of the pasta dishes that I can eat. I just wish that more of the meals did not contain peppers, yogurt and carob. It really limits my selection.

I agree that there are way too many pasta dishes. I definitely wish that they'd offer more of those shown for Jenny Austrailia.
