The Meatball Sandwich is on the Menu Planner I got yesterday and it says coming January 2007..none of those other items are yet.
The Meatball Sandwich is a stuffed sandwich described as: "Get a hand on great taste with tender meatballs smothered in robust marinara sauce and mozzarella cheese, all wrapped in a handy, pocket bread sprinkled with Italian herbs."...Sounds yummy!

I was disappointed when I found out the meatball sandwich is a stuffed sandwich. I hate the breakfast stuffed sandwich and the chicken stuffed sandwich. Yuk. The crust is awful and the insides are runny and tasteless. So I don't expect much from the meatball sandwich.

I so miss tortilla soup so this will be welcome, as will the meatball sandwich. I do love the stuffed sandwiches.

I love the stuffed sandwiches as well. The bread part is thick and chewy and smells so good. Like a fresh baked yeast roll.
The inside is a little runny if you eat them right away. I let mine sit (if I can restrain myself) for a minute or two and they kinda dry out.
I got both kinds last night...yum!

Mmmm... LOVE the stuffed sandwiches!
If you ever have to go off plan try the Stouffers Bistro Crustinis. The light turkey, broccoli and cheddar ones are soooo good.

I love the chicken stuffed sandwich and the stuffed breakfast sandwich. I am looking forward to the meatball sandwich. They always think of new foods, so I am sure in the next few months we will get even more new foods than mentioned here.
Any new desserts???

Last week at my WI they had a picture of the meatball sand. It looks good. I am hoping that they have it this week, although I doubt it. I need something new...

Lean Pockets has a Lean Pocket Meatball Sub that has 280 or 270 calories and is a great JC substitute meal. Love it! I make a bit of my own sauce (microwave up diced roma tomato, garlic, onion and mushrooms until it gets soft)...I cut the sub in half (after cooked) and stuff that inside...very good.

I got the meatball sub today and had it for lunch. It is delicious! I love the stuffed chicken sandwich - this one is very similar. I actually thought it could have more sauce in it. I'll have to try Jen's suggestion - sauteeing up some peppers, tomatoes and onions and stuffing it in there - that would be wonderful! My center got them on Monday, but they do seem to get the new foods really quickly. I hope you all get to try it soon.

Went to the center today to get my food for the week and they had the meatball sandwich and I took 2. Came home to eat lunch and tried one. Love it! It is really yummy. I'll have to get more next week.

The meatball sandwich is now one of my favorites. I enjoy it much more than the grilled chicken sandwich and the veggie burger. I congratulate the person who came up with the pocket sandwiches. They taste good and are easy to take along with you in the car.

Do the pocket sandwiches taste like Hot Pockets? I hope not because I don't like the breading on them.

All this talk about the meatball sandwhich is upsetting me. Talk about frustrating.I read all positive comments on the notice board about it and ordered it 2 weeks ago.First week I got home and it wasn't in my bag..found a pack of cereal extra. So I mentioned this last sundat at WI.My counsellor said she would replace it free. She handed me over to colleage to get my food order, guess what.No meatball sandwhich in my bag again!!!Yes I do check the items off the list but Igo there right from night shift and they just go yep, yep as I read out.I will be a super sleuth nexy WI.
PS. I adore the other stuffed sandwhiches and so I am chewing on the bit for this one.4 weeks into the programme and so far loving it.

I am eating the Mexican chicken tortilla soup now and not really liking it. It would have been better if it was a smaller portion with not as much broth. So more like a stew or chili. Not a whole lot of flavor.

LisaD is right! I had the Mexican chicken tortilla soup for lunch today, and it was very bland and watery with a spicy aftertaste. It does not have "loads' of chicken in it, either! I also agree it would have been better in a thicker consistency closer to chili!

First I have to say that I love the idea of this tread. I'm always curious about what new foods JC is going to be adding. I saw that on a different post, the online JC specialist said they will be coming out with a Beligian Waffle in June. I'm excited about this one!
Also, I have heard that they are bringing back the Cookies & Cream anytime bars. Very excited about this as well!
Has anyone heard of any more?

Oops!!! Forget my previous reply which talks about JC adding the waffle. I didn't realize that post was from 2003. Sorry! But the cookies & cream anytime bar information is from this year.

The meatball stuffed sandwich is alright, a little mushey to me. The tortilla soup was horrible, it had NO taste, i could hardly get it down. The wedding ball soup is better the the tortilla soup still very bland though and i have never tried the salmon, its the priciest meal though. they have them all at my center in arizona
