I think it is so interesting reading these messages. I like the hints on foods available at the grocery stores which are similar to the JC ones and the price savings. The thing that has struck me is that I do not know what the individual food from JC costs me. I get a itemized statement of the food but there is no price included. I only get a total price listed at the end. I never thought anything of it until reading your posts. I was shocked to read the little cereals can cost $3.00. Does any other center do this besides mine? I am now wondering if I am the only one who did not know the cost of individual items.

Your center should be able to give you a detailed receipt of what each items costs. You may just have to ask.

Ask your consultant for the order form. If you ask they are suppose to give it to you.

My printout includes individual prices. It is a bit shocking how much some of the food is, but it tastes good and if it's getting the job done for me, it's worth it. Definately tastes better than Lean Cuisine or frozen WW foods to me.

I agree with the above post. I know that the food is pricey but it is working for me. I had lost 15 lbs on my own before starting JC but was having trouble moving on. The program is working for me and if it works it is worth the money.

Ask for a price list. I do sub some of the 100 calorie snack packs.

I agree if the diet is working it is worth the cost. I am over my 1/2 way mark now though and it is good to hear about the comparable food items in the store. It is another tool we can use to help keep the weight off. I did Jenny 10 years ago and gained all my weight back plus 10 pounds and do not plan to have a repeat of that!

I decided to try to save a little money this week by buying some Lean Cuisine lunches and dinners. What a mistake. I find that they leave a terrible after-taste. I'm going to finish them, but I won't do that again!

I agree with everyone that the food is expensive, but most of it is delicious. I got the plan with the food discount that eventually ends up to be 35% off. I figure when I get to that level the price will be pretty comparable to Lean Cuisine or Healthy Choice.
