I've been on the program for 2 1/2 months and I've just now gotten brave enough to try this, because I thought I remembered people saying on here that it was good. Oh my! They were right. Some of the pieces of meat had a little too much grizzle but the flavor was fantastic. Extremely good! I will definitely be ordering this one again.

This is one of my favourites. Yum!

The first time I had this I thought the portion was really flimsy and I didn't like the taste much. Took me many weeks to actually order it again.
Well, haven't times changed because I had it for lunch today and a) it definitely filled me up and B) it was fabulous. Tasted like chinese food to me and boy have I missed that! Definitely going to be getting this baby again.

I eat it every day with a little light soy sauce. What I do is eat it with instant steamed rice, but split that whole meal into two mini meals 2 hours apart. It fools my body big time into thinking I'm getting more or something.

I have this almost every week. What I do, and it may sound gross to you, is since this lunch allows you to have a fat I chose peanut butter as mine and mix it in with the lunch! Gives it a
yummy peanut chinese taste that is really out of this world! Don't knock it until you try it!

That does sound yummy! satay chicken with peanut sauce is one of my favorite non-plan meals. ;-) Maybe this will be a good substitute for it. Thanks!

No problem! Hope you like it that way!

I absolutely LOVE this dish! I eat it 2-3 times a week for lunch and love it every time!

I love the beef chow mein! I usually prepare four crackers with peanut butter for my fat. Yeah the crakers are extra calories, but as long as I'm still losing I think I'll be fine!

I like the Beef Chow Mein..However, I think it is really high in Sodium. It tastes very salty..One week I had it twice and I was up 1/2 pound. I mentioned to my consultant that it may be the sodium content and unfortunately, she took offense. I love JC but I know its not the healhiest of foods and anything prepared/packaged is not the way to live your life. I am just staying on the food until I reach my goal weight. I love the fact that once you hit your halfway you do MOMO...

Actually, the beef chow mein has a really good sodium content, compared with the other JC foods anyway. The sodium is 480 and most of the other meals are in the 500's or 600's. I have to plan all of my meals around the sodium levels because of my blood pressure, and the chow mein is one I can have. For someone who has to limit even further, the meals with the lowest are the chicken salads and I don't think I could eat those every day. ;-) I think the latest government recommendation for sodium is 1.5g and I've managed to plan my JC meals to be well within that recommendation.

Hmm, doesn't taste salty to me and I'm someone who rarely uses salt on anything. Then again my mom says I was chinese in my past life how much I love anything chinese, lol, so maybe I'm just used to that type of flavor. It also tastes like a dish my mom used to make, yum.
Oh gah, and tried the peanut butter and grossed myself out. Think I used too much. Was so nasty I couldn't finish it. Peanuts I can handle.

I don't even eat meat, but I still order this dish once in a while and give the beef to my cats. I'll sometimes replace it with a diced up Boca burger. It's the only beef JC meal I ever order.
