I love the breakfast scramble. How can this be re-created at home? I would think it's an easy one to replicate. Any ideas, please let me know.

I haven't tried it yet, but it seems to me a can of diced potatos, some egg beaters, diced ham & a little fat free mozzarella ought to work.
Experiment with the portion control and I think you got it.

I think i'm the only one- but i didn't really like it. its egg white only so it tastes more like a fried egg than scrambled.

I didn't really like it either... the texture is all wrong... would be so much better if you made it with a little left over potato, some onion, an egg or eggbeater and a liitle lf cheese ... fried potatos just don't freeze right....

My husband loves it (gets it 5 times a week), but I haven't had the courage to try it yet. Something about the look/smell turns me off.

I really didn't like the breakfast scramble
either-I found the ham pieces had a very odd taste. I picked the ham out of it and it was a little better. The potatoes were a little mushy too! Has anyone tried the breakfast stuffed sandwuch? Any better?

So glad to see I am not the only person who does not like this dish. I bought 4 originally and got 2 in me before I gave the others to another JC'er who likes them.
To make something like it would be too much work for a single portion. You would need to figure out how much potato is one carb, how much egg beater to use, how much cheese and the saute the potato first, then add the rest of the stuff. Canned diced potatos would probably work if you like them.
Much easier to stick with the sunshine sandwich
The breakfast scramble was the first hot breakfast I had...on a Sunday morning...all set to enjoy a nice liesurly breakfast....IT was AWFUL....nearly gagged.... turned me off the entire day of Jenny Food.... took the other one back and I love the Breakfast Sandwhich..that scramble should be eliminated..or improved..whatever...

I agree w/you Pet! The breakfast scramble is the first breakfast that I couldn't stomach! Ewww, gross! I had to drown it in ketchup just to get it down. The potatoes are good, but freezing and then microwaving eggs just makes them nasty. That ham will haunt me all day. But the funny thing is I liked the BF stuffed sandwhich! I don't know, I guess having it all wrapped up in the pocket just makes it taste better.
I will never order this again, blech!

Oh geez....count me as being 'weird' again.
I had this today. I junked the fozen potatoes, toasted 2 sl Wonder Light Sourdough, butterd w/1tsp Smarat Balance Light margarine. I nuked the eggs/ham/cheese, made it into a sandwich.
YUMMY!!!! I loved it! I'm not a big potato fan anyways so I will order this again for sure!

Gosh, for what they're charging for this dish, you shouldn't have to junk any of it. This isn't one that I'd buy again, the sunshine sandwich and silver dollar pancakes are much better hot breakfasts, I think. Have a great week!

I think it's great! I get 25% off anyway so I order like 5 of them!

I found that when I cooked it less than the suggested time it was very tender and enjoyable. I'm one that orders more than one each week also. That with some mixed fruit and a non-fat, decaf latte and I'm a very happy person.

I tried the Breakfast Scramble this morning and it was awful. Was soooo disappointed and it ruined my morning as far as feeling satisfied. Hope the Breakfast Sandwich is better.

I'm trying my first one this week. Has anyone ever tried to back it or fry it. I did that with the Turkey burger I baked it and it was so much better. I might try the scramble fried instead of in the microwave.

After reading this thread, I had to give this a try - YUCK!!!!!!!!!!!
The egg taste is too "eggy"! The ham was gross and the potatoes had a wierd mushy texture. All that and the entire thing was way too bland. I had to put on a ton of pepper and ketchup to mask the taste - after all as much as I paid for, I didn't want it to go to waste!
I will never get this again!
I'll stick to my Complete Starts 7 days a week - YUMMY!

It was on my menu this morning, and I read this thread before I cooked it. When it came out, I loaded it down with salsa and it was actually kind of palatable. But like most of you, I won't order that one again. I also didn't care for the Sunshine Sandwich. I'll stick with the muffins and the pancakes, hot cereal and French toast.

The first time that I tried the Breakfast Scramble, I didn't like it (too bland). After that, I found that the scramble is really good if you add some black pepper to it, in addition to Cajun Sunshine, some hot sauce that I borrowed from my boyfriend. So good...

when i saw this meal i thought it was right up my alley, i love eggs/pot/ham....but wholly crap, and I mean crap!!!! I wont buy it again. I can certainly make this at home for the same calories and it will actually have taste! I'll stick to the muffins, french toast and pancakes. those banana nut muffins are awesome!!

I agree the ham has a gamey taste to it. I still eat it occasionally. I put some salsa on it to disguise the ham.

I sprayed mine down with Olive Oil spray from Trader Joe's and baked it for about 30 minutes in the oven, without that plastic on it. Sprinkled some pepper and hot sauce on it and it was great!

I've got to say I actually enjoyed it. I sprinkled a little sweet basil and paprika on mine and mmm just yummy. Nice to have another egg dish besides the sunshine sammich every once and a while.
To each his own I suppose.

I found that if you thaw this first, it cooks and tastes WAY better.
I had mine today with tabasco on the eggs, ketchup on the potatoes. I don't like the ham.

I LOVE the Breakfast Scramble! I was so ready for a new hot breakfast! I put garlic pepper and a little dash of sea salt on it after it's cooked. I cook it for 3 1/2 minutes in the microwave, then let it sit for 2 minute. Then I stir everything together and thoroughly ENJOY! I have 2-3 a week of these. They stick with me on the days when I have my intense workouts.
.
I am just thankful there is a lot of variety for breakfast so all of the various appetites can be satisfied one way or the other!

Try cooking it in the oven w/o the film on it! I also flip the entree over before cooking so sauce in on the top! I must agree though that the ham has a bizzare taste. I generally pick that out before cooking I eat with salsa and a teaspoon of fat free sour cream, The potatoes get crispy in the oven. I sometimes add extra veggies , Definitely a weekend dish for me!

I love it too, but I've noticed that the cooking instructions on it (for the microwave) are "too strong".
When I cook my other JC meals in the microwave, I need to use the lowest time written on the box because my microwave is pretty powerful.
For the breakfast scramble, I have to put mine in for 3 min. 20 seconds at 80% power, not full power... that way, it turns out very nice.

I tried it this morning and loved it. Definitely the most filling of all the breakfasts. I am going to get many more of these.

I tried the Breakfast Scramble this morning for the first time and thought it was okay, but nothing to write home about. The ham may taste weird to some because it's turkey ham. BTW...the little chunks in the pot sticker dinner is actually tofu flavored with chicken. Was taking to a lady in my JC center a few weeks ago and she thought it was chicken. That's one dinner I'll never have again!

I did not like this either but was curious if the stuffed breakfast sandwich is basically the same thing? I am afraid to try it.

I liked the stuffed breakfast sandwich... heated in the oven... I don't think it would take the microwave well ..

I have not tried the breakfast scramble yet, but I do like the stuffed sandwich. I microwave it at work and it turns out pretty good.
I also love the pancakes, french toast, complete start cereal and the triple grain crisps.
I like to have yogurt with my triple grain crisps instead of milk and eat the crisps dry. Yummy.

I love the scrabled. But you need to nuke it less than the directions say.

I am one of those who did not like the Breakfast Scramble because the ham bits tasted a little strong, and the texture was mushy. Might try again and experiment with preparation techniques.
I love the Stuffed Breakfast Sandwich and the Sunshine Sandwich, and are great for taking to work. I nuke them both (at 30 seconds less than the max) with good results.
I have to say that I was skeptical of many of the JC meals until I tried them and was usually pleasantly surprised. Some of the ones I was scared of are now my favorites.

I am going to try to defrost the scrambe before cooking. It it just ok, to me but the best part is that I have the potato soup and keep the bread and can have toast witht he scramble. I had it plain the first week and it was missing bread

Mark me down for disliking Breakfast Scramble too. I think you could take a few pieces of those cut up potato chunks (with onion) in the dairy case and scramble with an egg (80) and chop up one slice of canadian bacon (35 calories) and have a much better breakfast.
I LOVE Jenny Craig and most of the food but I love eggs and none of the egg dishes do much for me. That includes the Sunshine sandwich and the stuffed sandwich thing.
I asked if I could buy some of the JC soups (like the bean one) and have them for breakfast but that is apparently a no-no.
