I can't stand this item, but I didnt see it on my menu today when I went to JC. So now I have it. I think that it is disgusting, but am trying to have an open mind about it (not really but it sounded good).
Any suggestions on how to cook it so that I wont be grossed out by it? This is the chicken sandwich, not the stuffed one.
Thank you!

Hey,
I just had the chicken sandwich today for lunch...now i did get a little skieved out by the chicken when i first saw it but it turned out to be delicious the way i cooked it....first i preheated my oven to 400 and i cooked it fro a really long time until it was a little crispy on the ends...then i put the bun in the toaster and i added lots of green leaf lettuce...i used the sauce...i came out great!

Recently someone suggested treating the chicken like the roasted chicken on a ceaser salad. That appealed to me.
I save a milk and toast the bun separately then melt the cheese on top. I zap the chicken for the full amount of time on the box for doing the whole sandwich. I add a big slice of tomato and a lot of lettuce. I use the sauce that comes with it and I tell myself it is a restaurant broiled chicken sandwich!!
(too many i's - sorry)
Mind over matter?

The Forman Grill is also a wonderful thing. I do both the chicken and the bun on there. Break the chicken up add it to the salad and have a nice warm toasted bun with it. YUMMY!

I also use the foreman grill to do my chicken sandwich. I microvave it briefly and then finish it in the foreman. This is one of my staple lunches, I have it at least once a week. I put lettuce, tomato, and very little lite mayo instead of the honey mustard sauce. I also like that it is so high in protein.

thank you for all the different ways to make the chicken sandwich. I have it today for lunch. Now I know how my son feels when he "has" to try a new food. I feel all nervous in my stomach about it. I guess if I dont like it then I will just toss it.
Now, to just decide how to cook it....
I can cut it into quarters and try all the ideas!

Tweedy - that is also why I haven't gotten it again, but it got by me this time.
Ok, so this is how I made the sandwish. I nuked the chicken for 90 seconds. And after all the liquid dripped down my arm (really need to pay attention, don't I?), I put the chicken breast in the toaster at 400 degrees for about 10 minutes to dry it out. Then I put in the bun for a minute then added a piece of cheese to one side of the bun for another minute. I put the sandwich together with some FF mayo and ate it.
It was better than I thought, but not going to say it was excellent. I might possibly order it again, we will see.
Again, thanks for the cooking suggestions, it really did help!

This is what I do, it is very tasty!
*Nuke the chicken in the microwave for 60 seconds until thawed eneough to cut.
*Chop a quarter of an onion and cut up the chicken.
*Spray PAM in a hot skillet and sautee the chicken pieces and onions. Cook until the onions are carmelized
*At the very end, put 1 oz. of FF cheddar cheese on the top of the chicken and onions, just so it melts. (I save my milk until lunch)
*While the cheese is melting, lay the buns in the skillet so that they toast up a bit
*Put the chicken on the buns and pour a little SF, FF Barbreque Sauce on top
*Enjoy with a bag of JC cheese curls and a side salad!
I have to say this is my favorite lunch !
yum, yum!
