I have to agree I tried the tuna kit, and yuck. I had the same thought cat food. But I'll have to try the chicken kit.

I didn't like either of them, and yep it totally reminded me of cat food. But there are some people who really like them..go figure? Of course I'm also one of those freaks who likes the creamy potato soup..lol

Great description of the TUNA.
Chilling it helps a little.
I have one in my cupboard and somehow every time it comse up on my menu I have a lunch date and do a MOMO.. Normally tuna salad is one of my favorite meals when I make it.
The chicken salad is as bad in mho. It suffers the same fate in my cupboard. Plus I haven't figured out a way to stomach the apple sauce.
I had saved the peaches form the last tuna I had and mixed them without the juice into no calorie jello and added ff cool whip as my snack on another day. I had an apple instead of the peaches with my lunch.

I actually like this one. I fix a big salad with lots of free veggies - tomato, radish, etc - stir in the can of tuna to mix, and then mix in a packet of the JC ranch dressing.

I didn't like it either. I had to force myself to eat it otherwise I wouldn't have anything but my salad to eat!
My planned menu for week 2 had the chicken salad kit, but I didn't even want to bother trying it. My friend told me it was similar to the chicken. So I changed that entree out for a turkey burger (one of my faves!)

It's not as good as my tuna salad but not bad. I would like more chopped celery and onion in it though.

I'm not sure I'd even be willing to subject my cats to the horror that is the JC tuna lunch kit. I've tried the chicken and it is much better, but the tuna, omg....

Sorry...tuna kit not "cat food"...our cat turned up his nose and made a horrible noise when we tried to inflict the "tuna kit" on him...and what an awful mess it is.

this is funny! I was just talking to my co-worker that is doing Jenny with me and I have to agree that both the chicken and tuna salad are cat food! oh, that one chicken salad that had pinnapple in it, gag!

This just goes to show how different everyone's taste is! I love the tuna kit and the potato soup that so many people dislike, and I couldn't stand the pasta ole that everyone raves about.

See I love the tuna kit, can't stand the chicken one or the potato soup (and I LOVE potato soup). It reminds me of the tuna and crackers I had as a kid.
Everyone likes something different I guess.

I disagree, i like the Tuna. It is better cold. I dont like the peaches it comes with. I am not a fan of peaches.

I actually liked the tuna also. It's kinda different though. I had 2 slices of light bread instead of the crackers and added onion and tomatoe to the sandwich. I felt like I was eating a "real" lunch!

Question about tuna salad or chicken salad? would we be able to add some reg canned tuna or chicken and stretch it out for another 2 or 3 meals to make it more appetizing? i love tuna and do miss eating it.
