It's so funny to see what people like and don't like!!!
I personally love the Tuna kit - I plan for one on a weekend so that if I'm out with the kids, it's easy to take along. I love the Blueberry & Banana Nut muffins - great for eating on the way to work. Never met a cheesecake I didn't like!
Most of the food is pretty good, though without the bacon, sour cream and cheese, the potato soup was NOT what I had in mind. Have to watch some of the tomato based products as they don't mix well with an evening workout on the treadmill!
ilovemydoggies
This is so interesting, how people's tastes are so different! Here's mine:
Best: TURKEY BURGER!, chicken salad kit, rising crust pizza, brownie, chicken fajitas
Worst: seven grain hot cereal
The food is awesome, have any of you tried nutrisystem?? YUCK.
WillBeHealthyGirl
WOW tastes are different.
I love to much of it, to say what I love. But I know what I don't like.
I don't like the Oatmeal, the Potato Soup, Meatloaf or Salsurby Steak, Sweet & Sour Chicken and the Chicken Salad Kit, the PB bar (it just doesn't taste like PB. I LOVE PB.) and the honey or strawberry bar are just too dry. Everything else, I will eat again at somepoint, or make a point of ordering.

I have said it before and will say again, things i liked once may not after a while. But I try to eat only my favorites (pancakes, french toast, sunshine sandwich;personal pizza, stuffed potato;lasagna, fettucini, mac n cheese; chocolate cake/brownie, cheesecake, cheesecurls. I hate ham and bean soup, bbq puffs, pnut bars, and several other dinner entrees. Used to love the meatballs but just got sick of. I really like the tuna and chicken salad and find them good for on the go days on weekends so i don't cheat.
hollis
Best: Mmmm Potstickers, Chocolate Cake, Pancakes, Lemongrass Chicken, Hot Cereal
Worst: Salsbury steak (mystery meat), Potato Soup, Island Chicken & Bbq Puffs
I have found that the food is mostly pretty good. I always add veggies to the entrees.
LDoc72
I am not so crazy about those pot-stickers? Why so Popular?
Pesto Pizza Is the GREATEST!
nycgirl2006
love the fish and chips but for the first time ever they were moldy! anyone else experience a mold problem with any of the food??
Jilltoons
I once had a moldy banana walnut muffin - I have not had one since then.
Impatient
I've never had moldy food but suffice to say, I'd freak out. I'm wondering if you got moldy food from a center or from Jenny Direct? Just curious.
My favorites are: Personal Pizza, French Toast, Banana Nut Muffin, Mac & Cheese, Fish N Chips, Penne Pasta, all the cheesecakes, walnut brownie, Lasagna, 7 Grain Hot Cereal *with banana, strawberry or peaches added in
The cheese curls used to be a favorite but they were changed for the worst.
hope2heal
Hi, I got moldy berries in one of the french toasts from a center. It was disgusting. I like the french toast though.

I got my moldy muffin from a center (Tacoma, WA)

OK Day 1 and the MOLD has me a little scared!
I had the chicken and rice today. I enjoyed it. I also liked the salisbury steak for dinner. LOVED the chocolate cake.
I didn't personalize since this is my first week and I can already tell I am not digging the soups (that's a meal?)...I have an idea what the tuna salad kit will taste like and I am not looking forward to it.
Next week I am personalizing for sure - now that I have seen some choices I know I will prefer.
I tried Nutri System TWICE (AFTER it was improved?) and I threw out the month's supply of food after like the third day! JC food is much better - I can tell already!

I am wondering if the mold is coming from the frozen items not staying frozen. One poster tells them to put more dry ice.
Jilltoons
My moldy muffin store is certainly a "one time only" - Everything I get from my center is always fresh. Just had that one time incident (though I will still never eat again). When I told the staff at the center - they said that if anything doesn't meeting my full satisfaction - I can bring it in and get something else. They were really nice about it.
Jilltoons
I just read my post - whoops - I said I would still never eat again. Hmmmmm - I could really lose weight then.......LOL.
I have to say - I just had the Pancakes and Veggie Sausage. I really do love that! I actually love the sausage. mixed together with the pancakes and the syrup YUM!
Have a great day everyone!
teslamom
Lisalee, make sure you are adding your additions when you have some of the soups. I always have a piece of bread with an ounce of lunch meat with the potato soup. And the Vegi beef you get 1 bread, 1 meat and a fat.

I have been with jc since last friday. I am eating my tuna salad while writing this. I like it but will refrigerate it the next time. Maybe I'll put the chicken salad in fridge in advance. Being so new to this i am not quite a week into the food. I like the sunshine sandwich, turkey burger,my favorite so far is the chicken fettuccine. i like the cookie and cream cheese cake and the pesto pizza. thats is so far. Dru

Try adding chopped celery to the chicken and tuna salads. Also, I prefer them chilled. I do not like the peaches but found that they are great mixed with sugar free jello and fat free cool whip as a snack. I have fresh fruit with the tuna and save the peaches for another day for a snack.
sunnie310
My favorites are french toast, pancakes, both breakfast sandwhichs and the muffins, not crazy about the cereals cause they don't make me feel full like the other breakfasts. Love the enchiladas, beef chow mein, lemongrass chicken, turkey dinner and meatloaf and the cashew chicken is to die for. As for the snacks, i'm addicted to lemon cake, and really enjoy all the cakes.
Kelsey's Mom
Actually I don't like most of the foods. The chicken in most of the dishes is disgusting. Although I like the Chicken stuffed sandwich, I find 3 or 4 pieces of cartilege in every sandwich. For the price you pay, that shouldn't happen. The grilled chicken sandwich is absolutely nasty. I had that yesterday and ended up just eating the roll and throwing the chicken away. How can you microwave a chicken and expect it to be fully cooked and not hard and chewy? They should cook it, so you just have to heat it up. Again, for the price you pay, it should be edible.
I also cannot bring myself to eat anything containing meat that sits on the shelves. The taste is just fake to me. That takes care of about 70% of the lunches & dinners.
My favorites: Jenny personal pizza, both muffins, french toast, sunshine sandwich, meatloaf, beafsteak portobello, all the snacks & desserts are good except the peanut butter bar (has a fake PB taste) and I can't do turkey jerky.
Someone explain to me why I am on this program? I wish they would add some higher quality foods. It seems like everytime I come back to Jenny Craig, the prices have gone up but the quality of the food is still not that great on many of the items.
Lewis0906
I've found the foods to be pretty good. My favorites are the beef chow mein (Yum), the turkey burger (on the foreman grill, toast the bread, add lettuce, tomatoes, onions and jalapeno mustard) yum! The chocolate cake (heated) You have to work it! The food is too expensive for what you get - but at least its convenient. I would probably spend more than that if I was eating out each meal! Good luck ladies!
SHORTYSF
hmmm least favorites : hot cereal, pesto pizza (sorry, it's too gross to keep looking at!) homestyle chicken/noodles, pretty much any of those soups (eeeeeeew), the potstickers, well I liked the dumpling part, but the tofu/rice/edamamme mixture gagged me. Favorites: LEMON CAKE, all the sweet desserts. Cheese curls, Salisbury steak, fish/chips, MAC/CHEESE, turkey/gravy. Still trying out other new ones.
kindrlindr
I don't like the oat and strawberry bars. I can't stomach(actually gave it to the dog and she lost 3 pounds......) the lemongrass chicken. EWWWW!!! The panckes are not worth it to me. They are so not enough for me..lol
Most everything else I had I like. I LOVE the ranch dressing.
kindrlindr
Post retraction ahead.......
I just had a strawberry bar split in half and heated for about 20 seconds in the microwave, with 2 tsp of pnt butter on it(used 1 fat exchange) it was to DIE for........so sorry I misjudged you strawberry bar!
Jewels3
This is only my 5th day and the only item I didn't care for was the honey oat bar...too thick and chewy for me.
I love the turkey burger, cheese curls, potstickers, so far....looking forward to lasagna tonite!
artgurl42
Love: the sweets (cake, cheesecake, brownie) all of 'em ROCK! I'm convinced they keep me on this "lifestyle change".
Don't love: Potstickers (like the dumpling, don't like the rice edamame mix), Peanut butter bar, any of the dinner travel foods (they're just gross!)
Hey JC- one suggestion- why don't you come up with a few more "core" items? I'm only in my 3rd month & I'm having trouble staying motivated with the same old stuff! How about a dessert with peanut butter- a real PB cheesecake, or pb cookies? A couple more dessert options- maybe an ice cream bar? And I really, really miss my mexican beans & rice- that would be a great lunch or dinner item! I love the fajitas & the enchilada, but the sopa seca & refritos are what I could go for when I want some good old texas comfort food... MMMM- some bbq brisket could go with that, too!
ChefLuna
I'm new and only on day 4. I'm a chef and I so far have been trying to make the most of of my free list! Today I made fresh steamed green beans, and used my limited marg to saute shallot & ginger, then I tossed with the beans and grated orange peel. THAT was my favorite so far. 35 calories per serving.
The chicken fettucine tastes like mush, but I do like the mac & cheese & turkey burger. I'd rather have more FOOD than sweets so next week I will ask to trade in the chocolate cake & such for extra starch & protein.
dean1996
Dinners and breakfasts are ok in most cases but I have to say that Jenny's lunches really leave something to be desired! At this point the only thing I can stomach is the Pizzas for lunch, oh and the chili is ok.
Things I'll never eat again - thai chicken meal, chicken breast strips and rice, chicken or tuna salad, BBQ puffs, potatoe soup...

Yes you can. Check out the personalized menu planner that the centers give out. It tells you what to add on. If your on the planned menu, the add ons are allready part of the menu. If you do jenny direct, you can use the menu planner and after you print, it gives you the add ons (if there is one) for each meal you chose.

Why is everyone dissing my tuna kit?! lol
I add chopped celery, mustard and sometimes a hard-boiled egg, and I have it on bread as a sandwich instead of with the crackers.
It makes a huge sandwich when you add stuff to it!
hopie2boys
I like the tuna also. It's "different" as I put it. I also eat it with 2 slices of lite bread. I feel like I'm eating "real" food w/out having to calculate exchanges.
Mooncreek
