Does anybody remember penne pasta use to be a lunch item? They moved it to dinner abut didn't increase the portion or change a thing for that matter. I sometimes still buy it and use it for my lunch.

I just had it for dinner and added an entire container of mushrooms that I sauteed with pam cooking spray -
tasted like something you'd get in a restaurant

Oh, I too love the penne pasta mixed with all kinds of vegtables. Nice thing is, that each time you can change what you add so it makes it different.
I haven't been on JC long enough to know it as a lunch item. But it would be good.

if you do it with fresh mushrooms, you can use a little tiny butter flavored spray and put the lid on top so that you sort of steam them - they made the penne into a huge dinner that was really delicious (of course, I add a few shakes of parmesan cheese too)

Just had this for dinner tonight. I find it so filling especially when served with a cup of steamed broccoli. Yummy!
