Hello girls: You got that right. I love Italian food. This lasagna is almost as good as my husband's. I see that you are both new. Just stick to the menu and you will lose it. I'm doing it! Good-Luck.

I just had the lasagna tonight for the first time and I won't buy that one again (I must add that I truly enjoy the JC food, so this is a rare thing for me to say that I don't like something).
I also found the pasta "gummy". I make a much nicer lasagna with the pasta cooked properly. So this one was a dissapointment to me.

Definitely time for me to sign off. It is after 10:00pm, and I have been sitting here reading about all this food and I think I will be better off in bed for now!

I thought it was really good. It was so rich and filling I couldn't believe how few calories it had! I love ricotta cheese. yeah, the pasta was a but gummy, but I didn't care.

I love the fact that the pasta is gummy - pasta that is thick is soo sinful -- I would much rather have chewy thick pasta than thin transparent weak noodles --especially in lasagna -- I also thought the lasagna used to be 240 calories and I just got some new stuff and it's 250?? Are all the JC foods changing??

I've noticed that alot of posts are mentioning different calorie counts than in previous years. I just joined the first week of December, but I've been reading a lot of posts. I'm italian and really don't care for ricotta cheese. Probably won't try the lasagna. That must be the german coming out in me.

This one is another one of my favourite meals. I love the spice that they use. One thing is that you do really need to let it sit for about a minute before you move it to your plate. That gives it time to firm up.

Maybe it makes a difference if it's cooked in the microwave or oven. For those who say the pasta is "gummy," which method did you use?

I used the Microwave and did let it sit for a good minute before taking off the plastic wrap. All my other meals turn out great in the microwave and I follow the instructions to the letter, so I was surprised to find the lasagna so "gummy".... eeeek
I liked the taste of the sauce etc... it was just the texture of the pasta itself that felt wrong.

Too spicy? Wow. I add
lots of crushed red pepper to it!
That just goes to show how hard it can be to please all of the people all of the time.

I tried the lasagna about a year ago and was SO disappointed. Lasagna is one of my favorite foods in the world too! I can't remember exactly what I didn't like about it, but I know I never wanted it again. I'm wondering if it's changed? Waiting to hear how people cook it. Maybe it's the microwave that's ruining it...

I microwave mine and then let it sit for about five minutes - yes, the pasta is thick but that's why I buy it - I consider it a huge bonus to have thick noodles in a dish that supposed to be "diet" - if JC changes this and starts using thin noodles that melt or disappear, I'm quitting because it wouldn't be lasagna if it was just a pile of ground crumbles and sauce -

I was without a microwave for a few weeks last month and had to cook all my JC foods in the oven. Here's what I found:
EVERY food tastes better when cooked in the oven - expecially the lasagna! I won't microwave it ever again. The flavor is much better baked.
Lasagna is now one of my favorites again. I love sliding it out onto a plate that is filled with green veggies. It makes me feel like I'm having a splurge!
