I am relatively new to the program and tried the chicken sandwich for the first time yesterday. The chicken was so runny and when I bit into it there were several red "veins" running thru it. Awful...talk about an appetite suppressent. Anyone else had this problem?

I absolutely do not care for this sandwich. Never had in the past times I have done JC either. I had it 2 weeks ago and there was fat and skin on the chicken. I was completely repulsed by the looks of it.
Sorry about being disgusting in my post, but being honest.

The first one I had, I didn't care for. However, I have been ordering semi-frequently and haven't had a problem. They've been quite tastey actually. I guess, there is a chance of bad ones slipping in every once and a while.

I don't like it anywhere near as much as the Turkey Burger, but I've found that the quality of the meat differs a great deal depending on which microwave I use (I've never tried cooking it in the oven).
I think most of the entrees are made for a 1100 watt microwave (or something similar), which is what I have at home. When I use the big, industrial microwave at work, I have to adjust the power or the cooking times, and the entrees sometimes are more dry or less cooked, because I haven't guessed correctly. I also tried toasting the bun as someone suggested, and that helped a lot.

I stay away from the chicken sandwich because everytime I have given it a chance I end up with this weird misshaped "chicken" breast that is a weird mix of "dark meat" and "breast meat" and it ends up being mostly that tough tendon part and I'm always disgusted by it. I figure if I want a chicken sandwich I can grill my own.

Here is what I do and it's really not bad - I toast the bun - then microwave the chicken (go a little less time so it doesn't get rubbery) or better yet - if you can, grill it in a pan or on a George Foreman. Then cut the chicken up in bitesize pieces and throw it on top of a big green salad. I then either eat the bread like toast or break it up in pieces like croutons. It makes a great grilled chicken salad. I love it this way - but absolutely don't care for it just as a sandwich.

I toast the bun and also grill the chicken. Add roasted peppers and it is good.

I agree that it must depend on the microwave. I've had it once so far, and it turned out nicely (all done in the microwave).
Although, I do prefer the Turkey burger. It's tastier because they have (I think) onions and other spices mixed in the ground turkey, so it adds a lot of flavor.
But I do like the idea of doing a salad with the chicken sandwich and breaking up the bun as croutons. Smart!!! Thanks for the tip!

I Like the chicken sandwich... I cook most of them, (chicken, turkey and veggie), on my little George Forman grill... some times I add a hot sauce(taco bell's) to the chicken after it is cooked ... makes it a spicy chicken sandwich!!! grilled onions and spinach somedays ... or even a pineapple slice and a slice of fat free cheese...
I like this sandwich. I have had several and no problems (knock on wood). I like the idea of adding a pineapple slice to it.
I tried this about three times but don’t like it so won’t order it again. I do like the turkey burger even though I think it has a strange odor. I used to like the veggie burger before they changed it. Now it has big hunks of vegetables that fall all over your plate when you try to eat it.

I had it tonight and added a slice of Smart Beat Cheddar Cheese, blue cheese (FF, zero calories) dip, some hot sauce, the mustard, pickled peppers and some romaine lettuce - and it was DELISH!!! I could have it several times a week!!!

I like the chicken sandwich. But I only nuke the chicken, and not for too long. I toast the bun, and I add lettuce, tomatoes, onions, and just a tiny bit of low-fat mayo. Yummy. Oh, and though I like a broad variety of food, I'm a total food snob.
Almost all Jenny food can be made better with careful preparation and addition of veggies, spices and fat-free or low-fat condiments.

One thing I have been doing with this particular meal is once the chicken has been cooked in the microwave, I chop it up and use a tsp of mayo plus the sauce packet that comes with it. The chicken isn't tough to eat this way and it changes it up a little bit.

I like the sandwich....but can not atand the sauce packet that it comes with! I add fresh lettuce, tomato, and BBQ sauce!
Of course, nothing beats the Turkey Burger in my book!

Personaly its one of my favorites on Jenny Craig... and perhaps it shouldn't be cause i've got ones with moldy buns... but I enjoy putting the Jenny Craig Ranch Dressing on it and it tastes delicious! If you think about it the jenny craig food is probebly bought in mass quantities (the chicken) and then just cut up and slaped on the buns. every so often your going to get a nasty piece of frakinstein meat.

I prepared the Chicken as instructed by JC. Then I pan fried the chicken in a bit of Extra Virgin Olive Oil with fresh garlic, onions, and a bit of garlic salt. Yummmoo!!!

I really like the chicken sandwich. I warm the bun in the toaster oven and cook the chicken in my microwave. The dressing that comes with it is the only Jenny Dressing I like and I put that, lettuce and a tomato slice on top and feel like I am eating a real meal.
I have never had one with skin or dark meat. Maybe I've just been lucky.

Yuck the chicken sandwich is gross. I've tried it on the BBQ as well as the microwave and there always seems to be really hard grizzly chunks in it and it just doesn't taste like chicken to me. I also don't get the turkey burger anymore...tasted really dry....comparable to newspaper.....same goes for the veggie burger

Hi all
I agree, the Chicken and Turkey sandwiches are gross! Im betting bored with the veggie burger as well. I have one in my freezer that I have not eaten in almost 2 weeks!
