Not for the kitchen impaired as there is a bit of cooking involved. If you cook the shrimp too much they will be tough/rubbery. This dish was not too bad. Along the same vein as the chicken fajitas. Served it up with some steamed veggies mixed with oyster sauce. Stretched it just right.
All in all not a bad dinner. A nice change and it is seafood after all. Nice along with the fish and chips, fills the gap.
3 thumbs up.
Just my 2 cents.

OK_ I just got the Shrimp dish from my centre. Yikes it is a heafty bag o' food! The calories are about the same as the Salisbury steak or Meatloaf meals, one of the higher caloried meals out there. But having seen how much food is in the bag, I believe I will be well fed tonight. I will report back tomorrow on my results!

I can't wait to try it! I love shrimp! I was just wondering what does the meal consist of beside the shrimp? What kind of veggies are in it? Does it come with rice or asian noodles?

Peppers (red and maybe green), mushrooms, water chestnuts, broken spagetti noodle, snow peas, shrimp, teriyaki sauce.
Wasn't bad. Added steamed veggies and oyster sauce as a side dish. Would have it again.

I have a new favorite dinner! I just finished the Teriaki Shrimp Dinner and I have to say I was impressed! I liked it a lot and will definitely order it again. Like I said earlier it is a large bag of food (although I picked put the peppers - ick) I did throw in a large handful of frozen broccoli for my veggie and cooked it along with the rest of the dinner. The shrimp were small but nice, the teriaki flavor sauce was sweet, but not overwhelming, you could still taste the ingredients. My husband said the smell was killing him (heck I just might get him to join JC after all ) Yes you do actually have to cook it in a skillet or stir fry pan with a bit of veg oil, so it takes a minute more than most JC dinners and you have to clean a pan - Oh Well, the things we must go through
All in all a delightful meal and a nice departure from what was getting to be a very boring routine.

For those of you who cooked this in a pan vs. microwave...when I tried the Chx Fajitas cooked in a pan, the veggies got totally soggy and mushy...I was worried that the same thing would happen with the shrimp. Did anyone have any problems with this? I'm having it later this week so would appreciate any comments!

Brenna, I did cook these in a pan, using the exact time given on the bag. The veggies weren't totall limp, however they weren't crisp either. When any veggie is frozen, it will lose its ability to stay crisp because the cell walls have been damaged by the freezing process. Something you can do is maybe add fresh veggies from your free list while you cook the dinner, this will add some of that cruch you've been missing.

I wish they had done chicken. Not everyone like shrimp or can eat shell fish!
Second.Wind
they did......it's called chicken fajitas

I might try it then...I'm on a shrimp kick as well. I just don't think I can deal with those peppers. My chicken fajitas had very little chicken and tons of peppers and onion. But, I like water chestnuts and mushrooms, so I out to be okay. Huh? I'll just pick out the bell pepprs.

I thought it was one of the better dinners. I cooked it in pan on stove, used a little squirt of Pam first. I cooked it all a bit longer than the package said because I was trying to get rid of some of that extra water from it all being frozen. I also put it over some steamed veggies. It was very filling, but didn't realize that it had that many calories in it. Will check that out.

This was awesome...comparing it to the similuar stir-fry you buy frozen and bagged at the Supermarket..this was the exact same quality. The portion was enormous..I threw out the bag and had to dig it back out just to make sure this wasn't two servings. It took maybe 10 minutes tops to make. I was told that they will be discontinuing this meal option within the next few weeks..so hurry and stock up!

This is my take on the Shrimp Teriyiki. I use a griddle to cook my vegetable until the sugar pea pods are getting soft then I add the shrimp. Yes, I do add a teaspoon of Smart Balance oil. This has no transfatty acid and it has a wonderful taste similar to butter. I make sure to move the food around often so it won't stick and when the shrimp are ready I last add the sauce. I also stretch this receipe a little by using some green pepper and some fresh garlic as well as some canned and drained mushrooms. As always it depends on what you like. You might also use some grated ginger root in place of more garlic. To me this is the best of the best.
