I have many faves here at JC...but the reason why I'm mentioning the Potstickers today is that I'm hoping people who have not yet tried this, will order it. I add a bit of chinese bbq sauce to mine...yummy. Alf adds a bit of hot chili sauce to hers. (which I'll have to try) This dish in my opinion is so well done and I don't want to see it go. I absoulutly LOVE this dinner.

The potstickers are not for everyone. I like the potstickers themselves, but the little tofu "chicken" cubes...BLAH! I had to pick all of those out of the rice they were so disgusting. I will not order them again.

Frewt, I agree! I tried this for the first time tonight and absolutely LOVED it! I did not even add anything to it. It will definitely be on the menu again for next week.

I love it too! My daughter makes nasty comments about the tofu everytime I eat it - I think I've had it 3 times and I tell her to go into the other room!! It is just different and we need that little change.

LOVE IT!! I stir fry the preshedded coleslaw mix (cabbage& carrots)with a lil garlic powder. I then nuke the potstickers and pour over the cabbage. I also have lite terriake sauce or ponso sauce. Its a citrus soy YUM! This is one of my favorite meals...I am NEVER hungry after I have this!

I really liked these. Especially on the nights we used to order out in our house. Now I don't feel so out of the loop! I just order some steamed brocolli with no sauce and we're good to go!

Cannot STAND the potstickers. But that's just my personal taste. I especially cannot stand the smell of them. Had the potstickers once and I don't think I even finished them, threw them out. But I don't think they should discontinue them just because I don't like them. Lots of people do.

The potstickers are probably my favorite meal. They are like chinese steamed dumplings. I plan to order them each week. If you haven't tried them - you should!!

I absolutly love the potstickers. I don't put anything on them and they are so yummy. I order them every week.

I love them, too, and they will be in my menu every single week, along with the lasagna and the JC rising crust pizza. My variation consists of steamed broccoli and carrots mixed with the potsticker bowl and tossed with a little soy sauce and lemon juice.
One thing I noticed when eating them last night, though, is how small the portion size is: three potstickers! 1/2 to 3/4 cup rice! I wasn't hungry after I was finished eating it, but if it weren't pre-portioned, and I was just eating potstickers out of a bag, I would've had a lot more than three!
I have a long way to go when it comes to learning about correct portion sizes.

Missylola...
You are so right about the portion sizes. The first meal I had on JC was the french toast. I laughed at how small the meal was when I first opened it...however, when I was done eating it, I was satisfied. I thought, lesson 1 on this program, just happened. I also would have eaten double the french toast without blinking, but learned that the small amount worked. Yes, a big part of this is learning about the portions...they aren't very big for sure, but, those portions are steering us in the direction we want to be, smaller. Let's learn from it....stepping down from my soap box,

I have not tried them yet, but they do sound yummy. I was planning (when I get them this week) putting some Pam in a frying pan and sticking the potstickers in there. It would make them a little crispy. Has anyone tried it this way?

Hi Golfer,
Sounds like you're trying to make fried dumplings (which I love), but I think these are supposed to be more like a steamed dumpling dish. I have not tried to fry them, but if it works let me know! However, if you haven't ever these before I might suggest you try them the regular way first.

I had these yesterday and also thought they were delicious. Were those chicken cubes actually tofu? LOL ... I had no idea, they tasted like chicken to me. You fooled me REAL good, Jenny Craig!! LOL! Wow, I'm amazed that those cubes weren't actually chicken. *boggle* How'd they do that? Anyhoo I had these on top of a bed of stir-fried veggies, a veggie mix that I put in a wok-style pan, sprayed with pam, sprinkled on some Mrs. Dash (Garlic flavor) and it was unbelievably filling and delicious. They tasted like "real" potstickers to me, the rice and the chicken were delicious. I will be extremely annoyed if this is taken off the menu, lol, because I love asian food. Its my favorite. *cry*

I like the potstickers themselves, but the rest is kinda icky to me. I'm not too keen on the seasoning. I think I'm gonna take your advice and stir fry some veggies to go with it. Maybe a different seasoning will spice these puppies up! lol

I think the potstickers are ok. That tastes like real chicken inside of them, right? I do NOT like everything else. It was really bland and I added pineapples to it. Well, I guess I am just a non-tofu eating, meat eating kinda girl. I love the beef sirloin with rice!

I believe the filling inside is real chicken, and the chicken "cubes" in the rice are made of tofu. Which I found kind of odd, but I like the potstickers a lot (and I also like tofu), so I'm not complaining.

The potstickers were one of my favorites. Recently I decided I have had enough of them and that the tofu cubes are not wondrful. Your suggestions about stir frying veggies and adding seasonings have inspired me to eat the ones that are in my freezer and put them back in my menu every other week.

This one of my favorites. I bought two last week and for this week also. I always make a big serving of veggie stir fry, dump it on a plate and put the potsticker meal on top with some Lite soy sauce. Each bite contains the veggies and everything else. Delicious and very filling. I'm always stuffed when I'm done and wonder how can I fit the dessert in before bedtime! As everything, we all have our own tastes, but I think everyone should at least try it once.

the chicken cubes are tofu? GET OUT! I had this meal for dinner last night and really enjoyed it. Never had anything like it before, so I was very skeptical at first...but I ended up really enjoying the entire meal
