one of my dinner faves when I was on JC a few years back was the beef sirloin rice bowl.
I just rejoined and was thrilled to see it was still on the menu.
But, when I got home, I had kind of a shock. I got a beef sirloin and rice dish only it's not in a bowl. But everything I've read about this dish is that it is the bowl still and what I got doesn't exist LOL
Anyone have this same issue and can you tell me if it still tastes as good as the old bowl?

I don't know what it used to be like - but I do like the beef and sirlion rice bowl. The first time I had it though I was expecting something more like a teriyaki flavor and it really is more like a bbq type sauce. There is definately not enough broccoli in it - so be prepared to add some veggies.
I don't order it very ofter just because it doesn't seem to stick with me as well as some of the other dinners.

but yours came in a bowl, right?
And was piece of meat?
Mine is now in a tray, not sure of the sauce (hope it's still the BBQ sauce) and there are two hunks of beef.

mine comes in a tray also. I don't know why they call it a bowl. It is one of my favorite dinners though

It used to be in a bowl but now comes in a tray like the other meals. They took “bowl” out of the name. It’s still the same … still made with BBQ sauce.

Sometimes I get this dish in a bowl and sometimes I get it in a tray. I have the same experience with the Meat Loaf, Fish and Chips, and Penne Pasta. I never know if it will be a tray or a bowl. The trays are better for stacking in the freezer, but somehow the food seems to taste better in a bowl even though it's the SAME...go figure.

I truly enjoyed this one. It's one of my favorites...most definitely.
