I am on the direct program and a friend that I work with goes to a centre. I noticed that the centres seem to have some food that is not on the direct planned menus. Is there a reason for this? Just curious if anyone knows.

I do know that there are certain foods that can not be shipped to a recipient - such as the frozen meals. Could this be it?

No. I get frozen meals on the direct program. They are shipped overnite in dry ice.

Do you get the Hawaiian Chicken Salad? That's in the centres but not on the food list...

No, I did not get that one. Bit I did ask my counselor when she called me and I was told that I can order anything on the direct program that they have in the centres. I just need to let her know what I want.
