Has anyone tried to put the JC Chili Con Carne atop a salad (kind of like a taco salad)? My counselor told me about it, but having never had the chili (just doesn't sound good or look filling in that bitty can), I wasn't sure if this would fit the bill?
Please let me know your thoughts!!

Um, do you like taco salad?
As for the itty bitty can, how do you think the size of the can predicts how the chili will taste in a taco salad?
I use the lunch chili and the dinner chili as taco salad all the time -- in fact it's my preferred way of eating it. Just heat the chili, dump on a bowl of salad vegetables. I add chopped onion and salsa. If you have the exchanges available you can also add LF/FF cheese and/or LF/FF sour cream, or even avocado. Just be sure you know the values and use the exchanges for those extras.

Yep, I like taco salad. As for the itty-bitty can, it wasn't that I was judging that for the taco salad but the size of the can was why I never tried it before because I didn't think it would be filling.
Thanks for your thoughts - I'm going to give it a try!

I love the chili.
Because it is such a small can, it took me a few times to get used to the correct portion. Because it is so yummy I could easily eat a whole second can. Thats what got me here in the first place
In a bowl or on a bed of lettuce works!!!!

I tried this and it was great! The lunch chili is delicious and making the salad out of it was great and filling. Enjoy!

Just tried this for lunch and am happy to report that it was awesome! I put the chili on top of a bed of lettuce and added cheese (1 Milk) and FF sour cream ( Fat). Next time around, I think I'll save my fat for something else and pass on the sour cream - it was good enough without it. This will definitely be something I have on a regular basis.
Thanks to all!

I LOVE this lunch and dinner! I crumble in a few baked tostitos as well. I also like to mix the Jenny ranch with salsa and use that as the dressing.
Still my favorite!

SHANNON2 BE CAREFUL CAUSE I BELIEVE THE CHEESE COUNTS AS A MEAT NOT A MILK EXCHANGE. I LOVE THE CHILI BUT HAVE NEVER TRIED IT AS A TACO SALAD B4 IT'S SOUNDS LIKE IT COULD BE GOOD

oK THIS MAY SOUND WACKY- BUT i TAKE THE CHILI CON CARNE AND PUT LIGHT SOUR CREAM ABOUT 2 TSP, A BIT OF CHEESE - MICROWAVE THEN i TAKE MY CHEESE CURLS AND PUT THEM ON TOP AFTER THE CHILI IS HOT ENOUGH- ONE OF MY FAVORITE MEALS BY FAR- I JUST SKIP MY SNACK FOR LATER A SUB WITH SOME FRUIT/V8 WHATEVER!
