I hate that stupid "canadian bacon" crap they put on those things.
So I changed it. I take that stuff off cause it's gross and I buy that pre-cooked bacon they sell at the store. One box lasts forever, cause I don't go around eating the bacon all the time.
Heat the egg part like usual for 60 seconds.
Then place one piece of the bacon on teh egg patty with the bread, pop it in for 30 more seconds...
Heaven.
The bacon isn't that bad for you, low in fat actually, and very few calories. Great way to kick up the sandwhich. I use the Oscar Meyer pre-cooked bacon. Try it.

I too don't care for the piece of mystery meat. I toss mine. I put the english muffin in the toaster and the egg in the microwave.
I like to add salsa or spicy brown mustard to mine.
These are easy to make once you are doing days on your own. Use egg beaters, they now come with veges added or the plain kind. Then top with reduced fat cheese.
sometimes I will take mine apart and eat the eggs separate so I can put "no sugar added" jam on my english muffin.

i buy packages of fat free, smoked ham. I zap a slice or two in the micro to make them crispy and use them instead of that weird turkeybacon thing.
Sometimes I add a few grates of low fat cheese from my snack later in the day... when it's grated, it seems you use less and it melts better.

I keep the meat, but I cut into about 8 pieces before I put it back in the sandwich, because otherwise it all comes out on the first bite! I also add a slice of fat free american cheese and ditch the ranchero sauce.
Still eat this for 5 out of 7 breakfasts. I love it (but still love the Breakfast Scramble the best. Pleeeease bring it back!!)

I love hearing what other people do to spice up the food. I prepare the Sunshine Sandwich in the microwave just like the directions say except that I only put the meat in for one minute. I add the salsa that comes with it plus some Mexican hot sauce. It’s my favorite breakfast.

The 'mystery meat" in the sunshine sandwich is actually turkey ham(as per the ingredients listed on the box) I think it is very good actually, but the KEY is dont cook it very long...it really needs only about 30 seconds otherwise it ends up tasting very dry and leathery. They really need to revise their cooking instructions. Its my favorite breakfast too alf..I always order at least two a week.

I had that for breakfast for the first time today. It was great. Toasted the muffin and heated up the egg and meat in the microwave. Added a piece of fat free cheese and some mustard and woohoo... egg mcmuffin... it was great.
Don't really like the breakfast stuffed sandwich.. kinda gross really!

I had the Sunshine sand this morning.
I toasted the english muffin in the toaster, pam spray sauteed onions, peppers, and a pinch of fresh baby spinach. Next I nuked the egg and "whatchmacallit" for about 1 1/2 minutes. When finished nuking I added that to the pan of free veggies and sautee all together for another 2 minutes. I add all this to the english muffind along wiht a piece of fat free cheese, and eat it open face. It gives me a nice food oasis to prepare this way, and it is my "gourmet" breakfast on Sunday mornings

A way to make this on your own is use an english muffin and a gardenburger breakfast sasuage with a ff slice of cheese yum! Or make it with egg beaters!

Gwen, you saved this breakfast for me. I hated this the first time because it was leather but after your suggestion, it is now a favorite of mine. Thanks!
