This is my absolute FAVORITE JC food. I skip a serving of milk and margarine and add onions and shredded cheddar cheese. MMMMMMMM!!! I haven't had anything better on the menu. The Turkey Chili is okay, but it can't hold a candle to this variety.

Hey, thanks for the hot tip - I never tried it but definitely will next time, and with your variation! BTW, have you tried the Beef Chow Mein? that is my new FAVE!
Just starting Week 2, so wish me luck!!!

I like the chili too, but because I like volume I frequently add some diced tomatoes to it. Tastes good and adds a little volume. I'm a great one for adding extra veggies to my meals.

Just for a different perspective I find the chilli way too thick and gummy. I guess I prefer a thinner sauce that the turkey chilli has.

I've been adding a little water to this and making it into a taco salad. I too add a little cheese, lots of lettuce, onion, and 2 low fat crackers.

Unfortunately, this one does not ever set well with my stomache. I do okay with the turkey chili, but can't do a whole serving of that either.

I like both the turkey chili and the chili con carne. I add the already shredded fat free cheese to it but hadn't thought of adding onions. I'll definitely have to try that next time. My husband and I have also split one can of the chili con carne and put it on top of boca burgers to make a chili burger. Tastes great.
In fact, I like so many of the JC foods plus the convenience of not having to think about what I'm going to eat or cook, that I don't want to go back to "normal" food now that I've hit goal. My consultant just upped me from 1200 calories to 1500 calories per day to try and stabilize my metabolism so that I'll maintain and not lose or gain.
I'm supposed to wean off the JC foods by adding a day on my own each week until I'm doing 7 days on my own. But, my husband just lowered his goal weight from 170 to 165 and so has about 16 more pounds to go and will still be doing JC foods for a few weeks more. It doesn't make sense for me to cook while he's doing JC. For that reason, I'm gonna stay on the JC foods until he hits goal too and just add a few extra calories per day to get up to 1500. We'll see how it goes.

I had this yesterday on my salad with a little cheese and salsa, and it was darned good! Wondering if I could trade a starchy snack for a few baked tortilla chips and add that in too! this is for sure a once a weeker, if not more!

I order the Chili after reading this post & I hate beans so I picked out all the beans, chopped some onion, opened a can of stewed tomatoes added some chili powder & cooked for about half an hour. Then I used 1/4 c Loe fat colby/montery jack cheese & 2 TBSP FF sour cream to top it off & it was Wonderful! Really hit the spot too as I am in week 7 & it is always nice to shake up those taste buds a bit in a legal way!

I love thie chili. I especially like the fact that it is so thick so.......I add water and that makes it look like so much more food. I also add garlic or garlic powder and more chili powder or cumin. Onions too. Always look forward to my chili day!

i just tried the taco salad style today for lunch & it was wonderful. i added salsa, lettuce, my aftnoon cheese snack, & took a couple of tostido scoop chips & crumbled it up along w/the chili con carne & it was heavenly. (if you crumble up abt 3 chips it seems like a lot)
