Hi,
I am new to JC--3 weeks. Does anyone have suggestions for hot drinks. One can drink just so much coffee and my stomach cannot handle tea--even herb tea. I get tired of drinking just water.
Thanks.

Not even any of the different types of Celestial Seasonings teas?
How about low sodium, low fat broths?

I find the Nestles sugar free hot chocolate is delicious and you can add a little sugar free cool whip!

I will often fix tomato soup. It is even an unlimited vegetable serving. Try spiced apple juice or cider. I believe 8 ounces is one fruit.

Medic: Is this a home made soup or a commerical brand soup? I've noticed many canned tomato soups have sugar in them so it may be considered to some extent a starch.
If you make your own like I do it's just fine

I do realize that there is some fructose corn syrup added to canned soups, I don't think it adds up to much to worry about. And some of the sugars listed on the label are sugars that naturally accure in tomatoes. Or, as The Deej suggested, make your own vegetable soups.

I like to heat up my skim milk, add some Splenda, a couple of drops of vanilla, and maybe a sprinkle of cinnamon. It's my bedtime snack.

Maargaa, I tried that idea cold. It was absolutely tasty and "milkshake" filling. I'll make sure to try the warm version. Thanks for that great idea

Hey, everyone,
If I have a dairy exchange to use, I like to heat a cup of milk for a few minutes in the microwave, meanwhile mixing a Tbsp of cocoa powder and a Tbsp of Splenda with a smidge of cinnamon, and mixing it until smooth with about a Tbsp of cold milk before adding the hot milk! Yummy!

Marrgaa--
That'a a great idea! Kind of like the vanilla steamers they have at the Border's Bookstore coffee shop that I love so much. I'll have to try that. Thanks!

Thanks for the suggestions. I was just warming some water for coffee, I thought I'd make a latte to use up my milk. But I like your ideas better. I'll turn the water off and put some milk on.
