I think I saw a post about this before. I went into weigh in, and my councelor told me about the new sauces. I heard the dressings are much to be desired, but the pesto sauce one looked pretty good. I think it was a thin salsa. Something to dip veggies in. Anyone try it? I'd use it just for that. to dip raw veggies into it, but hey, I've been eating them raw now for years without a problem.
Any likes - dislikes - thoughts on any of them???

This week I picked up the Orange Basil Dressing/Marinade and the Ginger Soy sauce. Quite honestly, the dressing isn't much of a dressing... just not in line with my tastes... but would be an excellent marinade for poultry. The Ginger Soy sauce was gross straight out of the bottle, but when I put some on my Beef Chow Mein and warmed it up, it was actually pretty tasty!
Will I buy these two again? Probably not. But, I'll definitely TRY all of them and hopefully find some that I really like.

I tried the Shitake Mushroom marinade. You're right *Woo* right out of the bottle the flavor leave's much to be desired. But I poured some over my Mesquite chicken and added some sauteed onions. Yummy

I also bought the Shitake Mushroom. I put it on my Turkey Burger. It was pretty good. I might add it to my beef rice bowl tonight too.
The others like the orange mint just sound icky to me. But i would like to try the Tomato one if my cener gets it.

The Lime-Cilantro was pretty flavorful. I agree that the Orange Basil isn't that great.

I had the lemon/dill, hummmm not much to be desired for, it's like sweet(yuck)$5.00 for a bottle I dont like they should have sold them in little packs. I actually had to add lemons juice to make it taste like lemon. I dont know if I can kill this bottle, yuck!

I think the Cilantro Lime dressing is pretty yummy. If you follow the chicken recipe card that the center should have provided with your dressing, it is quite delicious. As a salad dressing I like it too--anything at this point is better than their little ranch and caesar packets. I was getting pretty sick of that wierd tang that they have--and their total lack of resembling the real thing. At least the cilantro dressing really has cilantro flavor--not everyone's favorite, but one of mine! It is a bit sweet and would be great as a spinach salad dressing. I also like dipping veggies in it.

are you all using these new dressings as a limited free food, or in place of your dressing, or another fat for the day?

well the dressings are fat free - dont know about the sauces though.
im using mine as a salad dressing. i bought the orange basil since im a basil lover and was disappointed. the flavor is obviously artificially exaggerated to the point where its almost TOO much to put 2 tablespoons on your salad. too strong!
im sure it would be a great marinade though. but since im eating all JC food - that does me a hell of a lot of good.

I tried the roasted vegetable salsa, that's pretty good...it would probably be very good as a dressing on a taco salad....too! I use it over my pasta ole. I just opened the Shittake mushroom sauce. I dipped the steak I had yesterday into the mushroom sauce...and it was nasty! Very chemical tasting! I had to wipe it off my plate, so it didn't run into the rest of my food and ruin it!! Maybe it would be better as a marinade!!

FYI- The dressings are exactly the same as Paula's No Oil dressings. At Albertson's here in AZ, there was the Orange Basil and Lime Cilantro. I had my suspicions when I first saw the bottles at Jenny Craig, and we confirmed it last night when we bought the store stuff. This is another way to save some money since the Paula's dressings are bigger and are about $3.50 a bottle.

YOu found them at Albertson's? But didn't Chef Neff develop them? .
I use the Tomato Rosemary sauce on my sauted veggies. I take a sweet onion, red pepper, zuchini and maybe mushrooms if I have then and saute it in a bit of Pam. I toss in some Wylers chicken broth crystals instead of salt and add a tablespoon of the Tomato Rosemary - yum. I make enough for two or three days so it is easy to get my veggies on the days I work.
