Wanted to pass along some tips I have about the popcorn snack!
- A Jenny Craig popcorn snack fills two zipper sandwich bags.
- This feels like having "2" snacks!
- If you find a store popcorn that matches the nutrition information of the JC popcorn, then 2 ziplock sandwich bags of that popcorn is one serving. (and is much cheaper)
- Putting it into zipper bags keeps the smell in so you're not drooling over it all morning.
- You can make ahead of time and it stays fresh. (grab-and-go snack)
- Since it fills two sandwich bags, I can split my snack. I can have one bagful in the morning if I get the Overwhelming Munchies, and save the other sandwich bagful for the afternoon or evening.
I buy the Albertson's store brand popcorn, light butter. I find one bag makes about four sandwich bagfulls. This gives it, per serving: 3 g fat, 0 cholesterol, 14.25 g carbohydrate, 3 g fiber, 2.25 g protein, and 165 gm sodium. This compares pretty close to the Jenny Craig popcorn, and actually has a little bit less fat, so I don't have any guilt trips about spritzing on some butter spray and garlic salt
