I gave this ceral a good attempt. I even put extra sugar sub. into it. It tasted like warm glue(I tried warm glue as a child so I know what it taste like) Sorry if anybody else liked it.

Hello Mysonboys! I posted a few days ago on this very subject. I love hot cereal, but I didn't care for the new "Seven grain hot cereal". I've never tasted warm glue but that sounds about right to me!
Since I am almost at my goal weight, I've been buying grocery store foods that compare to JC's. If you are looking for something comparable, try Quaker instant oatmeal (single-serving size portions). Nutritionally, it seems to be almost identical and comes in many flavors.
I hope this helps. "D"

Thanks Parton me. The Quaker brands sound great to me. I really have been missing a hot ceral and was so upset this one wasn't very good.
Congrads on your stats. Way to go.

It was disappointing -- it looked like wallpaper paste and had an icky artificial sweetener aftertaste.

I completely agree with everyone here. For me, I hated the consistency. It didn't get thick enough and it sort of had that "cup-o-soup" issue (you know the one: dehydrated foods not fully getting rehydrated so it tastes like you're eating texture with water). I love hot cereal, but with this attempt JC blew it, in my opinion. They should take a cue from other instant oatmeals.

I love it too! I did put too much water in it the first time, but that is easily fixed - just add less next time! I loved the taste and the crunchiness of the nuts in the cereal. Mmmm...

Hello, I just found another hot cereal! It's Nabisco Cream of Wheat variety pack. One pack = 120 calories, 0 fat, 27 carbs. One pack made about 1 cup of cereal and it comes in several flavors and was very filling. And it's a nice change from Quaker oatmeal. "D"

I have to agree, I was so loking forward to it after reading about it but it was very disappointing. I bought two, but will have to be really desperate to choke down another one. BRING BACK THE BREAKFAST SCRAMBLE!

After reading this thread, I finally got to try it this morning. I have to say it is not my favorite. Not at all. But it was edible. I won't be eating it again.

OMG I'm so sad that not everyone ((((LOVED)))) the hot cereal. I thought it was awesome, and such a quick breakfast fix, I can just bring it to work and not worry about bowls and the skim milk for once, (mornings are hard for me) so I like everything to be very easy for me until about noon. (lol) I only bought 3 last week, but I'm buying a #($*load this week, because I have a feeling its leaving us. . If I had my way I would keep it on as a perm food. so delish (yum yum)

I decided I wanted it really hot. It
boiled over in my (fortunately previously very) clean microwave. I scraped it off the glass plate. It was so delicious (very lightly natural maple, lovely grainy texure) Did you stir it up?

I loooove the hot cereal. I could eat bowls of the stuff. Please don't get rid of it. It's too bad others didn't care for it.

Okay, I just had to get into the fray. I LOVE the seven grain cereal. For me, 6 oz. of water is the maximum. It stays with me. I've made sure to have it a couple of times a week. LOVE IT, LOVE IT.
