I've just discovered thatTrader Joe's has a cereal called Essentials that's practically identical, except it has a touch of cinnamon. Nutritionally it's very close to JC. Per serving, it has 20 fewer calories, .5g more fat, less sodium and carbohydrate and more fiber than JC. (It does have 2 grams less protein, 8 to JC's 10.) A 14 oz box (7 1-cup servings) is $2.29.

Your right... unfortunately, Trader Joe's does not have any Canadian locations. But, Kashi makes a very comparable cereal called "Good Friends". I was eating it long before JC and was so happy to learn that JC has an equivalent. This is, by far, my fave cereal too!
Here's the link for Good Friends:

Thank you so much. I will have to try that, cause I love the complete start and was yet to find something out there similar to it..Thanks

Thank you! I LOVE the Complete Start cereal. I think it's my favorite cereal of all time, and that's saying a lot because I'm a cereal lover. We do not have Trader Joe's around here unfortunately. But maybe I can find some when I'm in California this summer...

Do you mind checking out this link and seeing if you think it is the same cereal as what you got at TJ's?

Unless I missed it, there was no picture of the cereal, but from the ingredient list, I don't think it's the same. The TJ cereal looks like Complete start.
