I just had this for lunch and was happilly suprised at how good it is! I was fully prepared not to like it much, but I wanted to try it first. Definately something I'll order again! I would love to see this added to the permanent menu. It's nice to have an option that isn't quite so processed as some of the other meals.
One question though...on my menu planner it has me add veggies plus a salad, in addition to the veggies included in the meal. Why is that? (I just had a big glass of low sodium V8 instead.)

I think that the Mesquite Chicken is a permanent menu item.
The adding of extra veggies is to ensure that you get at least the minimum number of servings for your calorie level.

It used to be a dinner option, but they changed it to a lunch item last May. Its been around for a long while.
I didn't care for the fake smokey taste, but thats just me.

I like the mesquite chicken too, although I've forgotten to order some the last few weeks. Thanks for the reminder. By the way, I think it is a permanent item.

Yes, the Mesquite Chicken is a permanent lunch menu item. Basically, there are added vegetables featured on both the Planned and the Personalized Menus to ensure that Clients are meeting their minimum requirments each day. The menus feature between 3-6 servings of vegetables per day, depending on the calorie level.
