JC is very good about listening to customer feedback. I suggest that anyone who wants the Pancake Mix to stay in the food selection of JC, post here. Maybe if we can generate enough "signatures" we'll convince them to keep it.
Count me as #1.

I love the pancake mix. IF anyone is listening, please don't take it away!

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, keep the pancake mix!
JC Food Specialist 1
The Pancake Mix will be retired in May. We apologize to those of you who really like this item. However, in order to make room for new popular foods, we need to retire some foods. We base our decisions to remove items on client preference and popularity, and unfortunately this item was not very popular nationwide.
However, as always, we do take client feedback very seriously. If we receive a lot of client feedback as to why a certain item was retired, we may very well bring it back for a future promotion, as we did with the Cheese Soufflé.
Please remember, however, that we are always working on developing new items. Also, for those of you that like pancakes, you may be excited to know that we are coming out with a new Belgian Waffle in June. Again, thanks for your posts. We appreciate your feedback!

I really hope the pancake mix comes back. I love making pancakes for breakfast on the weekends. I also like that we actually make the pancakes instead of "heating them up." It's a nice change of pace. Well, I guess I have another month to enjoy them.
Lyd
Five signatures and counting. Let's keep the feedback coming, folks. JCFS1, I appreciate your feedback but as you said, we should make ourselves heard. Just out of curiosity, what's the shelf life on the pancake mix? If one were to buy a case now, how long would they last? And has production been discontinued already?
PS, I missed the comeback of the cheese souffle. Is that something that happened in the past or something scheduled for the future?
TysCopper
Count my vote for keeping them.. one of few things we can make ourselves and not just heat up. Economical too. Bet that Belgian Waffle is going to be like the french toast- over $4.00.
funniegrrl
The thing that makes the Pancake Mix unique is not that it's a pancake/waffle/french toast item, but that it's something you mix and cook yourself. The other thing that makes it stand out is that it is by far the most versatile item on the menu. Take a look at the recipe section of this board to discover the many uses clients have found for it. The Belgian Waffle may be tasty, but it's not a substitute for the pancake mix.

Please keep the pancake mix. It's my new favorite thing to make the 'upside down' cake. I added bananas this last time and it was delicious!!!

Please reconsider keeping the pancake mix.

I also vote for keeping it !
Ladeeofsoul
Please keep the mix.

Please keep the pancake mix. I'm just now discovering the variety of ways I can fix it and it is economical. I look forward to trying the waffle, but economically if it is another $4 breakfast I won't be able to have it very often.

PLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEASE

Please keep the pancake mix! It is enjoyable to prepare and an extremely versatile item.
It appears that several people are just now discovering it; if it were kept longer, perhaps the sales would rebound. I can't imagine that it is expensive to produce relative to other food items. Give this item a chance to recover its sales!

PLEASE keep the pancake mix! I have them down to a fine art now. They are so thick and fluffy. It's part of our Saturday morning ritual to have JC pancakes. :-(
nowayjose
Oh My Gosh PLEASE keep the Pancake Mix. It's the only way I can have a Sunday morning veggie omelet AND banana pancakes! Not to mention the peachy upside-down cake I had for breakfast this morning! If it is taken away, I will absolutely be buying less breakfasts from JC because I will be buying pancake mix at the grocery store!
Thin Within
I love the pancake mix and will be thoroughly disappointed if it is gone. It is one of the really satisfying and affordable breakfast items.
sandyp
I can't believe that you would take away the pancake mix. My guess is that it is not expensive enough, not that people don't want it. It is the ONLY meal that I look forward to on the weekends because by adding the egg, fruit, etc., I can make something that is really filling and really good. A frozen waffle will not be at all the same. Again, my guess is it is going because you don't make much profit on it. Shame on you, JC.
Raegan2279
keep the pancake mix!! its my favorite!!!
Vickie P
please keep the pancake mix. It is something that we can add different things to and have something different.
cray
JC,
Keep the pancake mix. I don't get it. You are hurting your own sales. If you eliminate the pancake mix people will buy off the shelf low fat mix. And they discover that actually many products would be fine and 1/3rd the price from the supermarket.
Of course JC wants you to buy JC food. So I don't understand why you are retiring this item. We can make our upside down pineapple cake and it is so fantastic!!! Please keep it in the selection.
Now the chicken/tuna salad you should retire and burn the recipe vowing NEVER to produce it again.
Carolann
PLEASE don't take away the pancake mix. I get it at least twice a week and I LOVE it. It's something I can easily take with me when travelling and it can be used in different ways. I'm all for adding new items and I understand the need to retire the items that don't sell, but I am not alone in wanting this one to stay on the menu permanently.
tzeny
Not sure if my vote will help but I vote for it to stay as well.
I wonder if JC advertised the the upside down recipe that someone posted on the web to all JC clients if that would change the way people saw the pancake mix.
This is what I propose. JC create a flyer and have them distributed at each location and also post it in the weekly email that goes out to JC clients. Hmmm also was it in the creative book that JC just came out with. In otherwords a bit of advertising on behalf of a product could help with sales.
I doubt JC will do this because it sounds like they are already dead set to retire it but for those of you reading the JC board why not make a copy of the recipe and take it to your JC center and tell them to share it with clients.
Come on people lets get rallying behind the Pancake Mix
GO PANCAKE MIX!!!!
Susan30
Please keep the pancake mix. I find it enjoyable and flexible enough to use in different ways! Just my 2 cents.
Take care.

I look forward to "pancake mix day" on days when I am stuck with only cereal or a strawberry bar. Its like a carrot to keep me going. Please keep it!
Here I am...just the new girl, but I love the pancake mix...how sad it would be for it to be taken away
tzeny
Here is the recipe for the Pineapple Upside-down Cake
Enjoy~

Please keep the pancake mix!!!!!
Sushi
Please keep the pancake mix!!! I really enjoy being able to make something that doesn't require to be microwaved. Get rid of the Silver Dollar pancakes then you will be doing something.

This is my vote to keep the pancake mix. I was totally shocked to read this item was being retired. It is the most versatile item on the menu. You can be very creative with the pancake mix, making different kinds of pancakes, waffles and crepes. It is also great that it is a shelf item and not a frozen item.

Oh god...just the second I find something I love, you guys retire it!!!! UGH! I love the pancake mix, I love making the upside down cake, and I've tried using Aunt Jemima's pancake mix and its' salty!?! Please keep this, its economical, versatile, and tasty!!!
JC has listened before, please be reasonable and listen again!!!
NyNy
Please keep the pancake mix...
it's one of the few times I get to cook and not feel like I am cheating!!!
RazzyCat
I'm very upset that you want to get rid of the pancake mix!!! (But, thanks for all on the message board for informing me and others that it is disappearing!!!)
I love the pancakes--and planned on purchasing them down the road after I had lost all the weight--they're tasty and make just the right amount for a single serving!!! (Great for camping!!!) Hell, I even would feed them to my kids--if I had any!!!--because they are healthy and yummy!!!
And, I agree--I like that you actually mix them up (yet it does not take me more than 5 minutes to make them, if that!!!) and they are a very warm, filling breakfast!!!
But, please don't dump the silver-dollar pancakes and vegie sausage!!! (Or, at least not the vegie sausage!!!) Though, the mix is better than the frozen panckakes!!!
Oh, and waffles do not equal pancakes!!!
Dori
PLEASE keep the pancake mix. It is one of the versatile breakfasts (adding whatever fresh fruit you would like, making "pineapple upside down cake", etc.) It is something that I try to fit into my menu every week...
secretme0289
If you do retire the pancake mix please make sure you replace it with something shelf stable...there are many of us on Jenny Direct who are unable to order the frozen items and our menus are limited enough without losing the pancake mix.
ArieAnna
I would think that with all the positive feedback from your customers on the pancake mix, you would reconsider this choice...
It would be a shame to take away something that they obviously like so much!
I too vote to keep the pancake mix!
beth130
The pancakge mix is my favorite. I don't like fruity bars, or bars with raisons, cereal or eggs. The Silver $ pancakes are too expensive to buy every day, so I buy one of those and 6 pancake mixes every week. I will have to buy non-JC breakfasts if you take the mix away!!
PLEASE keep the pancake mix! A frozen waffle definitely won't taste anything like a freshly made big pancake!
shannon2
Please, please keep the PANCAKE MIX!!! I love all the multiple uses from it that no other JC entree offers. I make my own waffles, cake, pancakes, etc. And it's great for when I travel.

I also love the pancake mix, I make it once a week on the weekend since I don't have time during the week to make breakfast. I would also still purchase this item when I hit maintenance. Pleas keep the pancakes
DizNJ
WE WANT PANCAKES! WE WANT PANCAKES!
No, seriously, don't even bother getting rid of the pancakes and bringing them back. Just keep them. They're great. We need more foods that we can actually prepare ourselves (i.e. pancakes, fajitas). They taste better.
P.S. I'd like to put my vote in for the Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies too, I love them!!!
juli
This is news to me...I'm terribly upset! Keep the mix, keep the mix, KEEP THE MIX!!!
daavone
keep it keep it keep it
p.s.
AND the new breakfast bowl too. I LOVE THAT!!
