OK, so I know resistance may be futile, but please don'e take away our choco chews! And everyone who loves them should write in too.
A vitamin bar (which also is a milk exchange) does not do it - no matter how much calcium it has. I don't want to give up a milk or yogurt, but a choco chew is a lovely bit of chocolate and feels like a treat and is 'free'. I will not buy the vitamin bar as I don't want to give up a milk, but I will go out and buy Viactive to get a little extra calcium.
My daughter and her dad (also on JC) are both upset as well and we are stockpiling choco chews - but I'm relieved to hear of the other option.
It may seem silly, but in following JC and not pigging out whenever the mood hits me, I am VERY attached to the goodies that I can have that make this not feel like a four letter word (diet).

Oh my Goodness! Are the Choco Chews being done away with? I'd love to jump on the Bandwagon to not let that happen! I totally agree and "ditto" all the reasons you gave! C'mon everybody lets really get a petition going to "Save Our Choco Chews".

I must say that I do enjoy the Choco Chews. In fact, for a long time I was buying them every week. Now, I don't get them as often - but I really appreciate them. Unfortunately, they'll just end up getting replaced off the JC bill to someone else. I won't be buying the vitamin bars anyhow, and it sure wouldn't be a replacement for the Choco Chews in any fashion.
So, one vote for keeping the Choco Chews.

Today is my first day of week one. Before I started JC-Direct, I ordered the sample pack andreceived choco chews. Low and behold was I HAPPY I had found a lifestyle change that let me have a little bit of heaven!!! So when I oredered my first 2 weeks of food--I made sure I also ordered my choco-chews. Imagine my disappointment when I did not recieve them in my shipment...that is when I called upd JC-Direct and told them how I needed my chocolate fix to start this program. More shocking news-- they intended to get rid of them! Just my luck to come in when they are ridding the program of one of the best things that were in my sample pack!!! Eventhough this is my first day of week 1 --I vote for choco chews!!!

I agree! Keep the Choco Chews! The Choco Chew provides the relief for a chocolate craving which the vitamin bar is not going to do. I keep a bag of these at my desk and when the temptation to visit the office candy jar is strong, I simply enjoy a Choco Chew instead. These have been a lifesaver for me more than once. I know JC says they are getting rid of the Choco-Chews since we are going to be getting vitamin bars, but this is apples and oranges as far as I am concerned. One is not a replacement for another. I agree with what someone else said...if the Choco Chews go away, I will start buying Viactive to satisfy my chocolate cravings and to get my calcium. Besides, who can afford to add another bar each day to a bill that is already $90/week????

I am also a lover of the choco chews and I do hate to see them go. They have saved me from myself and my cravings many times. The upside to this is that you can buy calcium supplements at a drug store (I purchased mine at CVS). I have bought some and they are really good too. They also offered different flavors (milk chocolate, caramel, or cappuchino-spelling?).

i refuse to buy those stupid bars- unless they taste exactly like choco chews. damn you jenny craig people- damn you! lol j/k but i do hate to see them go.

Since I am at the half-way point, I'm trying to slowly wean myself off of the J/C food. I just purchased the Viactiv chews and compared the Choco CHews package and they are pretty much identical. I'm sure they are also alot cheaper than J/C's.n (Afraid the see what the chews actually cost per week !!) The taste is also pretty much the same w/3 flavors to choose from.

I would hate to see the Choco Chews go too, but would happily opt for the three flavor replacement at the lower price!
I guess JC feels like these bars would also be like having a meal replacement, something extra to eat, instead of just a vitamin. It would be like having four snacks a day, instead of three. You would still get your chocolate fix, your vitamins and an added snack. Maybe that's the idea?
I wonder if this new addition has something to do with that survey that we did in the past. Where it asked us the question, if we prefered to have the JC meals to taste better? "OR" If we wanted JC to give us more to eat??? Did we do this???

My two little tastes of heaven per day (better known as choco-chews) have got me through many rough, formerly binge producing moments. One of the pleasures is that they are completely unscripted. I can have both before breakfast if needed, or spread throughout the day, or maybe even skip them if it's a good day. I will miss having that sweet bit of cheer at my disposal each day. JC, PLEASE reconsider!

When I started my second week on JC, the consultant told me about Choco chews. My first bag was my last because last week when I went for my 2nd week weigh-in, they were already out!!! Yesterday at Walmart I bought Viativ. They were $6.84 for 60, so that is about the same as the Choco chews. I think they are just as good!! I wonder if the vitamin bars are going to count as a snack???

Please do not take the Choco Chews. This is hard enough for some of us. We need our treat.

I saw at my first trip to JC that they were not selling those any more; I opted not to even buy them, I just try and stay away from any of that right now. I am to early in the program and have way to much to loose, so my treat is the yogurt mixed with trail mix and if I still have fruit for the day I add a small banana.

I also want to join your petition to keep Choco Chew's.
My bad time is while I am cooking supper for my husband so having (2) then is a real help. What I do is pop 1/2 of one at a time while I cooking.
I have been on program for 4 weeks and lost 12 pounds. Since I am doing so well I certainly want to continue this course.
Does anyone at Jenny Craig monitor this board? Hopefully they do and will rethink their decision.

My center never had chocolate chews. What are they, and does anyone have any idea of why after 7 months on the program, I have never had the opportunity to get them? They sound very satisfying, because you get to chew!

Why would they get rid of something that makes everything so easy? I'm sure the vitamin bars will count differently and we will have to work off calories just trying to figure out how to use them in our daily routine!! And I'm sure they will be much more $$$$$$!!!

I forgot about the Viactiv chews. I am going to have to run out and buy myself some. I really never craved chocolate while on JC, until they discontinued the Choco Chews. Now I am like a raving maniac, always needing a chocolate fix. Has anyone else experienced this?

I am devastated that the Choco Chews are being eliminated. Went to the neighboring town and bought up $30 worth, but they won't last forever. Please bring them back. I love them and can avoid sweets by having one or two of these. Please! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! !

Did you guys also take the multiplus supplements with the choco chews? Also do you take the supplements and eat the Viactiv?

I am also upset that they have gotten rid of the choco chews. It was my favorite and it was like getting a treat. I crave chocolate all the time and this allowed me to get over that craving. KEEP THE CHOCO CHEWS!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh well, I had deleted my post once I realized just HOW old this topic was, but since it still brought it to the beginning, I figured I ought to post again, just so you guys don't think I was being bad
Anyways, I had originally posted because I had never heard about the choco-chews being discontinued. This will be my first time on JC, but I have quite a few people that I know that have been on JC. A couple have told me about the choco-chews, and how great they were. So I was anxiously awaiting them with my JC Direct shipment scheduled to come in Tuesday.
So I was going to ask if this petition had done its job and saved the chews; but I read a little farther back and found where the Anytime bars replaced the Chews, so I guess I got my answer..oh well, I ordered a box of the Peanut Butter bars, guess I'll just have to see how I like those!

I also think JC should bring back the choco chew. It was one of my favorites. It kept me from cheating because I am a chocoholic and would occasionally cheat on Hersheys and Gourmet chocolates.
