Anyone from Oregon??

Hi Toyota! I live in Beaverton, Oregon. I just started the program a couple weeks ago. So far, I've only lost 3 pounds...but that's better than I've been doing on my own! I'm hoping to lose 20-25 pounds by Christmas.

I'm in Vancouver, which is really Portland, anyway. I'm originally from Beaverton, 35 years old, and in the process of losing around 50 lbs. or so. I started November 9th and have lost 20 lbs. so far. I would love to be part of this support group.

I have a question about drinking crystal light would that count towards your water intake? I can drink that so much faster than plain water. I do however drink water but I reach a point were I need some flavor. and I thought the crystal light would ge a good choice.

Hi Calalilly -

It does count and I have to do the same thing! Drinking all of my water is a challenge for me, regardless. I checked the "Ask the Dietician" section (prior to the new website) and they did confirm that it is a free, all you can drink item. There are a lot of flavor choices, which helps with variety. I really like the fruit punch, raspberry and white grape ones.

Congrats kaypdx on starting JC, I think you will love it. It's much easier than I thought it would be, there are some really great people on the message boards which really helps. I live just outside of Eugene, just moved here from Seattle in November. I am on my fifth week of JC, hope you do really great your first week!

I'm in Camas WA. I just started back on the program today! I have about 70lbs to lose. My goal is to lose weight so I can get pregnant. My husband and I have a deal. When I lose about 30lbs, he will have his vasectomy reversed. Then when I hit my goal weight we will try to conceive.

I'M FROM OREGON! How's the weather over in Bend? In McMinnville it is ok at the moment.

Sorry it has taken me so long to respond. I needed to learn the system or reply. Think I have it now. At the present time I am walking on a treadmill 2 miles a day at 3.5-4.0 mph, and am using the JC tape. Would love to have someone to walk with and eventually bicycle. Interested? I prefer mid-morning, though. I'm not an early morning person usually. I live in a new subdivision near the Albertsons off North Phoenix road.

I thinking about joining, I live in Milwaukie also. I want to lose any amount of weight. I am starting out at 200+ pounds. Would like to lose 50 but would be happy with 20. Baby steps, baby steps. It would be nice to find someone in my area to walk with after work. I'm 40+ years old and would like someone I can relate to. I don't have much motivation by myself.

Hi everyone in Oregon! I'm in Beaverton...go to the JC center in Hillsboro, and just started 2 wks ago, after being away for a few.

I'm hoping for a BIG weight loss this time. I tried Nutri-system, but the food was awful!!! I have always liked the food and options @ JC, but quite priceier than before, even on the Rewards program, but I plan on doing it this time, and sticking with it!

I am from Portland. I go to the center out on 82nd. Been doing Jenny since May. I am at a point where I am needing to re-energize myself and get my motivation kicked up a notch. I have been doing great so far, but have found myself giving in to temptations more frequently these days. Probably related most to stress in my life. I don't necessarily eat more when I am stressed, but I do drink more. Anyhow, just wanted to say hi to my fellow Oregonians (and a shout out to the Couv!)
