Hi everyone,
I have been going to Jazzercice twice a week (1hour classes) for the past 2 years. I was walking but somehow I lost my motivation.
Is there anyone out there who could find out where my motivation went? I really want to get back into it but I afraid my motivation is missing.
Tonight I will buy a Jenny craig Walking Program and hopefully my motivation will be in this.
Any words of wisdom would help

Scully - when you get told that "you can't overdo it and you have to slow down" you realise the importance of physical exercise. Motivation for me is being able to "get out there and do it". So many people in the world don't have the use of their limbs or eyes or other debilitating illnesses - so, that's what motivates me. We are very lucky to be living in the countries we live in. I love to walk - and recently I had about 6 weeks off from doing anything very physical - it really peeved me off to have this taken away from me (health reasons). I am now back to almost peak fitness and when my dog and I go and "tramp the road" - with loud boppy music clanging in my ears - wow, I just love it. Go out and buy The Waifs (Aussie band) - great to walk to - I have two of their albums on one tape and they are really really cool to listen and "sing" to as I strut my ever "decreasing" butt!
Get serious with yourself - you want to look better otherwise you wouldn't be doing the JC program - so, it really is up to you to continue and exercise. I refuse to "pay" anyone for what I can get for free (walking that is). Maybe later on if I have those days when I don't feel like getting out there I'll phone a friend and go swimming instead. Sometimes you need a bit of variety in your life.
Let us know how you get on - its in you to make a difference to yourself and you can do it.
Cheers

Try something else! Maybe walking just wasn't interesting for you. Or maybe you just need a change of scenery. Try walking in your local park, etc.
Maybe biking or other ideas could be what you need. Good luck!

I would just like to thank Sherz and MD for their replies and motivation. I started walking three days ago to the Jenny craig Walking program tapes and I just love it. The music is paced out to suit you, so you can go as fast or slow as you like. I feel so good about it and I know it's working for me. Thankyou both so much for your very supportive words and take care.
