Hi! I'm a newbie on JC and obviously have only just discovered this site.
I can't believe how much extra energy I have on JC eating programme.
I've a lot to lose but everything to gain.
I'm doing JC because I like the food being prepaired, at least at this stage it is easier.
My main motivation is my 8 month old. I don't want some smart kid telling teasing her at Play Centre " 'cause your mum is fat". Also I want to live life my way and not with self imposed limitations because I'm fat.
What tips have you got for me, please?

I have the same feelings about being fat. You feel that you're limited to what you can do, or the way people see you is different to what they would a skinny minnie. What is your weight and how much do you want to lose?

Greetings "The Lady Vanishes",
isn't that what we all want!!
I must admit that it is difficult to admit this but I am 148 kg and want to get down to 70 kg at least.
I am realistic about this as it will take quite a while and I am working towards little chucks of 10 - 20 kgs at a time.
I think that I do some of the things in life I want, but there is more I want to do. I feel people don't take you seriously as a heavy person and you certainly couldn't be intelligent!
There seems to be so many negative stereotypes attached to weight. BUT I'm not going to dewell on such things for as long as you are doing something for yourself (i.e. lose weight) and not to please others, it is right for you.
It occurred to me that I was carrying around another person all day - no wonder I am exhausted come evening!
How long have you been on the programme? How much do you weight/want to lose?
(I hope I haven't waffled on too much..)
