Hi all!
First of all, Carol, thanks for the kudos. I really appreciate it! Praise is ALWAYS a good motivator. Speaking of good motivators...I had to use a belt for the first time in ages today!! I was doing the happy dance all over the bedroom. I can start to feel the changes taking place. My pants are a bit less snug, my face is starting to look a little less like a balloon with a nose. No one else has noticed yet, but I have and that's what matters. My husband, who is extremely supportive, keeps telling me how proud his of me, and continues to keep all junk food out of the house.
The weight is coming off a little at a time; I just have to be patient. (Sometimes I hate that word.)If you are struggling with the program and you have only been on it for a short time, keep at it. It takes 21 days for a new habit to be ingrained in your brain; the program is a really new habit for us. If the weight comes off slowly, just remember it didn't get there overnight...I have to keep telling myself that one. I just imagine the outcome. I don't want to get into a bikini, I just want to be able to shop in the regular section of the store, not the fat lady section. I keep seeing myself picking a size 12 off the rack and having it fit! Woohoo!
Just keep trying, even if it seems overwhelming. 21 days, 3 weeks, goes by in a flash. Just be patient. And I'll do the same.

Hi, Good to hear from you. I have been in the program just over a year now. I am about 14 pounds to goal. JC says 9, but I can see that I will need some more weight off by about 5 pounds. It has suddenly become a real trial for me.
I am wearing size 10 pretty exclusively but there are still some areas I don't like the looks of. I must add more exercise, especially weights to get where I want to be.
We went to Memphis (and Nashville), a weekend at at bed and breakfast, and down to Portland Or the past 3 weeks. I have gained a bit each time. Got it off from Memphis and back it went with Portland. Nothing now until Thanksgiving. I have had a tough time with the last 10 pounds. They keep wanting to come back. Yeah, mostly my fault right now, but I have hovered for months now even when it wasn't my fault. My balance seems so narrow if you know what I mean. I worry when I have to maintain.
My husband is not good at total support in that he brings so much food in and hides it around. Cookies, candy, etc. His metabolism allows him to eat anything and stay thin. It is maddening sometimes. I am jealous, let's face it. It also seems he eats more since I got on this program. Probably not, but he will have appetizers, full meal, dessert and more stuff if I pull out my little last snack later. He is proud of me, of course, and I am buying clothes again. I have a stack for charity piling up. I love it.
Keep talking with me. It is great to hear from you.

Carol
