I just had a very emotional visit this week. Let me start by saying that if you do not feel that your consultant helps you in this journey...get a different consultant. Tina is GREAT! I am doing it, but she supports me. I am only 5 lbs away from my half way point. For the first time since I walked in back in April, she flipped my folder to the back and said, "Wow, look at the change in you." I was so happy because coming off of Halloween, I lost 2 lbs, so I looked over and immediately began to cry. I did not expect that, but I had to look away at my picture. All those painful insecurities flooded back. The worst part is that at 261 lbs, I did not think I had too many insecurities. It has only been since I have lost a large amount of weight that I realize how much more I love myself, my life, my health, my husband..... I know I still have a long journey ahead of me, but I have come a long way. I just did not expect myself to react that way.

Initially, my pictures are what led me to JC. I went to New Orleans in March and when I returned and got the pictures back, I sat and cried at how I looked. I did not even want to put any of the ones with me in the photo album.

For anyone thinking of starting or just starting on the journey... stick in there. If you have a crap week and get off schedule, just start the next day new. No one can do JC 100% of the time during the whole journey. Just try to do it as often as you can. In the beginning, I was losing 2-3 lbs every week. Now, I am all over the board with .2 to 2 lbs. However, the measurements keep going down and I have went from a 3X or 22/24 to an misses xl or 16!!!

I had pictures of me taken at Halloween with my daughter and I LOVE THEM. Like I said...I still have a long way to go, but I love myself and know that I am worth it now.

Good Luck Fellow JC people.

I started April 1st this year. I was exercising 4-5 days a week and now that I am back to school and life is crazy, I am lucky to get in two walks a week. However, I am making a conscious effort to do more physical activities around home. I just came in from cleaning the garage...top to bottom, and yesterday I raked our 3/4 acres and played dodge ball. My weight loss has slowed from 2-3 lbs a week to .5-1.5lbs a week, but it is still in the right direction.
