Hello my name is Kimber. TodayI received my first week of food! I am very excited, but nervous at the same time. Can anyone give me any tips? I have tried so many diets in the past and I am hoping this is it! I have lost 43lbs. on my own but it has taken me 3yrs. to do so. I'm open for any advice.
Thanks |

Hi Kimbers- My name is Amy, and I am not on JC now but I did in the past. When I received my first delivery I was overwhelmed but I just tried to take things one thing at a time and tried to follow the program to the letter as much as I could. One thing I like about JC is that the food is good and that makes it easier to follow. Hope that the support here helps too, Amy |

I'm just finishing my second week, but so far so good!
My advice so far: Drink lots of water. I've been drinking about 120 oz of water everyday. It helps keep hunger at bay and helps reduce water retention. Volumize your meals with extra veggies and after you heat your food put it on a normal plate for eating. To me, eating it out of the Jenny packaging isn't just very appealing. If you go off plan for a meal try not to beat yourself up. Just get right back on plan. You can do this! --------------------

I am on JC but not JC direct. An awesome tool is the Pocket Guide not sure if they send that to you, but one of the books they send has the same info usually around page 70 i think (can't think of the name of the book), anyhow if you do have the pocket guide go to the very back of it, there is list of Unlimited food and limited (3 a day) foods, that will help supplement to keep hunger down, some people find they are hungry the first two weeks, but if you get all your fruit/vegi's, and 3 limited you'll do great, also the volumizing someone mentioned is key too, adding lots of vegi's to your meals to bulk them up. Try oven cooking when you can just to change things up so you don't feel like your always eating microwave, I love baking the fish/chips and pizza's, definately put on plate as someone suggested. another tip many people find themselves gassy or constipated but this too will work itself out over time, anytime you change your eating habits this happens, my consultant recommended Miralax and it works great. JC is awesome so best of luck for success to you!!

Hello I am thinking about Joining.... What is the cost of the food? Thank you Danielle.
Danielle: The food for me runs about $120 a week- but varies a little based on the menu. That includes the anytime bars, which you could leave off if you wanted. You have to be your own dairy, fruit and veggies. It's not cheap, but the food is very good and I am not hungry. For me I am breaking even, as I used to eat out a lot. -------------------- |

The way I see it , spend the money now or spend it later when you have a bunch of health issues. Really try to do the program if you can cause I'm beginning to beleive it is a life saver. I've lost 20 and feel so much better already. I'm hoping I can get off my blood pressure meds soon and that right there will save me some money. Also you probably won't go out to eat as often so that saves money too. Just remember you are worth whatever it takes.

Kimber I read this post last week and was wondering how you first week went? Have you had your first phone consult yet? Let us know.
Thanks, JPDS |
