Hi - I'm in my 4th week. Started at 170 (5'6") and have lost about 6 pounds on last week's weigh-in. Would love to correspond with someone in the Northern New England area. So far, so good with Jenny!

Hello!

I am from Southern Maine. I am starting week 3 tomorrow. Lost 4.9 lbs at my first weigh in today. I weigh in every 2 weeks because the centre is an hour from where I live and I am very busy - so it works well for me. I am very happy with this weight lost and am looking forward to continuing on the plan.

Sounds like you are moving right along with JC too. You must be pleased with your weight loss. I know it feels so good to finally see it coming off!! Hope we can correspond and encourage each other. ~Kim~

Hi there! I am from Holden, ME (just past the Brewer town line). I have been doing JC since April 22nd, and as of today I have lost 17.5 pounds! I have had to deal with alot of life issues, as well as, medical problems. So my weight loss has been slow and steady. My JC consultant has been so much support. Feel free to contact me. I can honestly say I couldn't be loosing any weight without JC. The food is great. It's nice to know there are others doing this that are near by. Hang in there. The program really works! biggrin.gif

Hi Fellow JC Mainers,

I'm from Ellsworth and have been in maintenance for over almost a year ( plus or minus 5lbs ) This program is awesome and really works. Since being on the program, I've become a personal trainer and have competed in fitness events!! The program taught me how to stop dieting and denying myself certain foods. It taught me how to balance and portion control !!! The only downside is not having a center locally. My consultant was very good but she eventually left and then I was pass around. Anyways, i found the online forums and got with a group of supports. i still communicate with them when i am having setbacks ( and there have been a few to say the least). I searched for Maine JCers and at that time there was noboby.

I am psyched to see a thread of Mainers !!!

Eatonstream - I am just a few miles from you. I work in Bangor.

Hope to see that this thread stays open smile.gif Ahuh smile.gif

I'm very new to JC. Just started on Tuesday. The food is great and already am seeing a weight loss difference. My only problem is remembering to eat. Working from home and being busy tends to make me lose track of time. I'm glad to see some Northern New Englanders online. I am from the NH Seacoast. I'm doing the JCDirect program. Didn't really like the idea of going into a center. Anyone have any feedback on pros/cons of each type of program.

I started the program in August at the Salem NH center.
I really like my consultant and the individual weight-in
I also like the fact that I have used the same scale since I started at the center.
But I haven't tried the JCDirect so I can't compare them.

I am living in Pittsfield and just signed up (about 15 minutes ago). I am anxious to see how I do. At work we are starting up the Game On diet plan and I thought I will never find the time to make the meals as I should. I am working towards a 20 lb weight loss. If I can do 30 I will be thrilled. I think 20 is reasonable and will get me back to where I was about 2 years (and still have the clothes for). Glad to see there are others from Maine on here. (Just moved from Bangor about 2 months ago.)

Do you find it hard to cook meals for the rest of the house?

I'm really glad to see some activity from Maine as well. I work at EMMC. I have been on the program since April with alot of ups and downs. My consultant has been the best. I couldn't be where I am today (278 down to 239! and 6 inches smaller in the waist!) without her help. I have had major illness, moving my mother and selling her home while dealing with my grandmother (my mom's mom) being critically ill and dying, which lead to major family feuding. The program is great. I am slowly getting active again, which is a major foot hill for me. I'd love to hear from any of you. The board is a wonderful way just to chat with others going through this. Keep up the good work everyone and remember you deserve to take care of yourself biggrin.gif
