Hi vegetarian friends! I just rejoined Jenny Craig yesterday and I was truly disappointed in the vegtarian options. I don't foresee me being able to stick with this program very long, but I hope it will serve as a jump start for the next month or so. I then plan to move on to the less expensive and much more vegetarian friendly Amy's plan.

Anyway, when I was choosing my food for the week, my consultant (who's also the center director) told me that both the potato soup and the vegetable soup are being phased out. Yes, two more veggie options have bit the dust. I stocked up on extras so I'd have some choice in my very limited lunch choices.

JC pretty much stinks for vegetarians. Such a shame that they're ignoring a whole segment of the market that's begging to pay JC good money for veg options! -- seems like a dumb way to run a business, especially these days.

I too just rejoined on Sunday-I was also dissappointed in the veggie selections- I was a member in 2000 and completed maintenance but when I started to regain weight I chose other plans because I just could not eat any more of the very limited veggie selections- the food is very good just limited- I look forward to making halfway so I can add a little variety

There is a new spicy tortellin soup that is good. It is made with veggie sausage. I wish they made vegetable pot stickers and just kept the chicken out. They could even add tofu.l

Thanks for the post!

I agree with you- cutting out the veggie options is not the way to go. They are a better health choice and better for the environment. Plus they are going to lose people who are veggies!

I also don't eat a lot of dairy so to have only dairy-filled options for vegetarians is getting a little old. I've been on the program since March and I'm getting really bored with it as well. They need to rethink!

I just think it is terrible that they don't have alot of options for vegetarians. I am trying to cut back on eating too much meat but just enough. I think it is crazy JC is doing this!!!!!!! They are going to turn alot of people away from joining.

I totally agree, I trully wish there were more vegetarian options! I'm good for breakfast and dinner, but what is it about the lunch that makes my stomach turn?? I cannot eat another enchilada! Why can't we get a veggie burger or a meatless chicken sandwich (morningstar makes awesome stuff) I've tried to do the meal on my own for lunch but I'm paying for easy and convienient, right? Also, I don't loose as much weight for some reason. I'm contemplating sacrificing my morals and just trying a non vegetarian lunch...will I feel better or worse?

BTW, to stay on topic I never really cared for the potato soup, lol.
