I had the Pesto Pizza today for lunch and it was NOT tasty at all. After eating about 1/6 of the pie decided to add more diced roma tomatoes and chopped basil but the additions did not improve it at all.

Although the Mozzarella looked like Mozzarella it did not taste like Mozzarella and I have to say the same for the pesto.

I love Margarita Pizza so when I seen the Pesto Pizza as a meal option I was excited to give it a try. But after tasting it was very disappointed. I will choose a substitution option the next time I see this on the pre-planned menu unless anyone out there may have suggestions for improving it.

I eat the personal pizza all the time. (not crazy about the pesto)

I add garlis & onion powder and dried Italian seasonings. That really makes a differnece.

I've only been on the program 8 days now and haven't found any of the food to be horrible. With that said, I did find the new Chicken and Corn Chowder to be very bland. I will not be reordering it any time soon.

I add a sprinkle of bullion crystals to it & onion powder & a spash of hot sauce. I loved it!

All the JC food is bland because it is low sodium... spices really help kick things up.

Yeah, I don't get the mashed potatoes. I think it's the mushroom sauce that makes them disgusting.
The taste is similar with the Swedish Meatballs as well.

Not a big fan of the Teriyaki thing on the salmon either.

Think of it as a blank palette, just waiting for you to add your own personal touches. What seasonings would YOU add, if it was a soup you were making from scratch, at home. Aside from salt (JC really doesn't want you to add salt if you can sip it), you can add ANY herb or spice to the soup, to make it your own. Add some salsa and cilantro to make it Mexican Fiesta Chicken Corn Chowder for instance.

I think all the JC food is bland for a few reasons. First, most people don't like a lot of seasonings and spice (read some food threads right here on the JC forum..... comments like "breakfast sausage is too spicy", etc.). So, JC food is appealing to most people that way. If you start with a bland, basic dish, JCers can customize it any way they want. Definitely easier to ADD seasonings and spices than it is to change seasonings or mask spices that are already present.
