I recently tried the lemonade splasher and it was amazing. I was wondering if there is something similar to it at the grocery store? or your favorites (:

I use Wyler's light. I love their lemonade and pink lemonade. I don't use Crystal Light because, for some reason, it has a funny aftertaste to me.

There have been discussions about aspartame before on these boards, go do a search for that. Basically, it's the most tested food additive and one of the most common artificial sweeteners. Currently, no one has been able to replicate any studies in refereed journals showing it to have any harmful effects on healthy individuals. The wikipedia entry on it is fairly straightforward: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aspartame

Anyway, you're going to find it in most artificially sweetened/zero-calorie drinks. I like the Crystal Lite individual packets, my favourite is Cherry Pomegranate. I don't think we have the JC splashers in Canada.

I haven't tried the JC Splashers yet. I like the Crystal Lite's and the discount brands too. Although in my opinion the Wyle's aren't as sweet.

Now that the weather is getting warmer this time of year in CA I like to freeze ice cube trays of the Crystal Lite beverages and then grind them up in the mixer for a nice cold slushy on a hot summer day.

This is something I've done even before becoming a JC member and so glad that I won't be cheating by continuing this practice.

Oooo... great idea. Will be pulling this out of my back pocket during the summer!

Thanks for the suggestion!

I get the raspberry and the lemonade and mix half of each packet in my water to create raspberry-lemonade. Very yummy!! It helps me get my water in when I'm not in a water mood!
