Question to men on program

I am currently on JC but, we can't swing both my husband and myself on JC at the same time. My husband is 6'1" and 215lbs. He would like to get to 190 or so. What calorie range are the rest of the men on? I went for my weigh in yesterday and forgot to ask my consultant.

I started 10 weeks ago at 368 pds and 2300 calories a day. Today I'm at 315 and still on 2300 calories. I expect to drop to 2000 calories when I hit 299. Hope this helps.

First of all congrats on your accomplishment!! That is awesome!!
Second thank you for the information. We had found a couple of websites but the calorie levels they were giving us were REALLY high. I knew it couldn't be right.

I'm at 219 and am on the 1500 calorie a day deal. Working my way back down to about 180 (I'm 5'10")

I'm in 1,200 cal/day. I'm 5'1" and I have lost 34 pounds, I'm doing my own cooking using the 30 meals in 30 minutes and the volumetrics eating plan.

Remember to do your walking.

I guess I should add, I'm 6'1 and 205. I am losing just great doing that and exercising every day.

I began the program weighing 230 lbs. I began at 1700 calories and was told that I would not need to cut back until I met my half way goal (approx. 205).

I'm on 1700 calories. I started at 257 and am now down to 227. I average 2 lbs. a week but staying strictly on the diet could yield up to 3 pounds per week on the program. Here's an idea. Since you're not both going to be on the program at the same time, why no alterate weeks. At the end of the week, there is always some foot left over, so the JC cost could be less than twice the cost of a week. In this way, each of you could work on developing some volumetric recipes. Other option would be to double one-half of a week, so both of you do the same meals for 3 days and then develop volumetric meals or eat out sensibly for the remainder of the week. Hope this is helpful.

There are many dinners and lunches which are just about the same as JC's food put out by Lean Cuisine and others at half the price which could be used at least part of the time. It would really cut down the total weekly cost.

Your husband and I sound about the same size. I am also 6'1 and started out at 221 lbs. After just four weeks I am down to 205 using the 1700-2300 calorie diet jenny has given me. Jenny is working great for me (although expensive). What I have found out is keep active and keep excercising anytime you can, seems to accelerate the weight loss, at least in my case. I wish you both the best of luck

1700 for me but I vary the program with my JCC approval from 2000 to 1500 depending on my workouts, but always equals the 1700x7 level - ticker below tells the story...

I agree with other meals at half the price and asked my coach and she said I only know J.C.. I read box of W.W. and others at half the price and could find no diffrence. $600 a month plus vegs and fruits of another $200 or so is high and I see no real advantage to J.C. unless you need the coach to hold you to your plan which is what I think you are paying for. I have tried JC for month at about $800 and am trying something else next month and chart results. Now IF JC works better than my cheep meals then I will come back to JC. I am a financial advisor by trade for 41 years and I always look for alternatives

Thats great Jim...but watch the sodium content in the other dinners, usually they are very high and sometimes double the amount. Sodium will hold up your weight loss and sometimes make you gain.....best of luck to you~
