They just came in at my centre today! Has anyone tried it yet? I can't wait till I do this week. What can I add to it to volumize it?

Thanks!

rolleyes.gif Remember that when volumizing you can use ANY of the non starchy vegetables. Cauliflower is a great choice, as well as zuccini and maybe even green beans like the steam in bag you can get from Green Giant brand. Wow...am very excited to try it now that I think about it because I am getting hungry. Good thing we get our stock in centre tomorrow! Yum with anticipation!

Tried this last night ohmy.gif Oh my gosh was it good! I was very pleasantly surprised with the chicken, very lean white chicken. Very tasty & satisfying dish, going to have to stock up on this as it is a temporary item.

Can someone describe what's in the dish besides the chicken parm?

I'm really excited. About a month ago, someone at JC told me they heard the Chicken Parm was going to be a shelf stable food. Now that I know it is frozen, I can't wait. Yum!

By the way, I just tried the Cashew Chicken last night. The picture on the JC website shows huge mushrooms (which I hate) so I never ordered it. My JCC told me that she loves the dish, so I tried it. Put in some Sugar Snap Peas to volumize and it was FABULOUS.

Sometimes we've got to try new things! We might be really pleasantly surprised!

I've tried everything but I'm never eating the Cashew Chicken again. Mine had those huge nasty asian mushrooms in it. Slimy. And I LOVE regular mushrooms. I'm not buying anything that I have to pick stuff out of. And.....those weird mushrooms made a weird taste in the dish.

Aren't we all so funny and picky? Can you imagine how hard it is for JC to please ALL of us?!

I liked everything but it had too much oregano for me. It was kind of harsh. I won't order it again.

Ok, I'm a HUGE fan of the cashew chicken. I used the creative cookbook and spooned the cashew chicken into lettuce leaves. FABULOUS! Reminds me a lot of the appetizer from PF Changs. (ahhh memories).

It was really tasty but not filling enough to me compared to Mequite Chicken. I might eat it as a lunch though but I just wasn't satisfied after eating it. SUPER tasty though!

Yes, the Mesquite CHicken is more filling. I agree with that statement.

The sauce reminds me of the Penne Pasta, a little bland.

THe chicken tenders in it are yummo!! Overall, it lacks the flavor of the spaghetti & meatballs, but I do like it. I have to add salt and pepper.

I agree the sauce is kind of bland.I would try adding basil or oregeno to avoid the sodium.

I ate this for the first time this evening, and I enjoyed it quite a lot. I'm not a fan of pasta in general, but I will enjoy this dish while it lasts.

Take care,
Angela

I agree, it is nice enough, and I'll buy it but I'm not sure I will miss it when it goes. The spaghetti & meatballs was a much better dinner.

I just tried the chicken parm and I loved it!!! I cooked it a little in the microwave then took out the broccoli,I like to cook that separate. I put the pasta and the chicken in an oven proof dish top it with 2 tab low fat spag sauce then top it with 1 tab red fat mozzarella cheese. bake it until hot. I had to use my fat for the day for the cheese but it was so good I could have served it to company. Is this a permanent item?

Mmmm... it was really yummy! The broccoli left a little to be desired though... maybe green beans would be nicer? I just scooped the broc aside and added my own veg.

Hope this one stays around for a while!!
