I just joined Jenny Craig on Wed. 2/11. I'm really excited and love the food so far. I know I have to get in my milk requirements and this has always been a challenge. I have 2 oz of regular milk with my coffee and that's it for the day...milk-wise.

With my new attitude to try every food once before putting it in a like/don't like category I want to try Yogurt again. Any suggestions? I have a real gag reflex about eating foods that smell weird. Yogurt smells weird to me at least. But I want to try it again anyway.

Does anyone have a favorite 6 oz non-fat yogurt under 110 calories that JC recommends? I'm off to the supermarlet tonight to explore

I used to like the Yoplait FF because it came in so many flavors, but lately its been tasting like chemicals. Now I eat Dannon Light and Fit and think it's really good... for yogurt.

I usually buy what I have coupons for, but lately, I've become a Dannon Light & Fit fan, as well. Lots and lots of flavors, 80 calories, non-fat. My typical breakfast is either a JC cereal or a cup of Fiber One cereal layered with the yogurt and some fresh berries (strawberries cut up or blueberries). Maybe eating the yogurt WITH something, like berries or cereal, will cut down on the odor that the original poster was complaining about (can't relate to that problem.... never noticed an odor).

But, I've always, always been a yogurt fan, since I was a little kid. So, I really am not great at relating to folks that seem to have to gag it down..... sorry.

I either eat Silhouette or Source. They're both pretty low in calories (between 35-40 calories).

I love the idea of putting yogurt over the bran cereal and topping it with berries. I think I'll try that!

I like Dannon or Greek nonfat plain yogurt with a packet of splenda. Then add berries or other fruits. I especially like it added to the JC fruit n' granola.

Some flavored yogurts don't have enough protein to be cosidered a milk serving.

90-110 cals
12g carb
8g protein
<3g fat

I don't eat the fat free yogurts because I don't want the chemicals. So I buy the 6-pack Yoplait family pack that come in 4 oz containers. Because they're 99% fat free, not 100%, their 6 oz one has 170 calories. The little ones are 110 calories. I buy the strawberry banana ones. They're the only flavor I like! And if you freeze it, it's like ice cream! Plus it takes longer to eat so you feel like you're eating more.

I used to hate milk, but now I like it!! Crazy huh?

What do you mean about the chemicals, when you refer to fat free yogurt? Looking at the ingredients, I see chemicals for sweetening, but unrelated to it being fat free. Could you clarify? Looking at the Dannon website, the ingredient "list" for their nonfat plain yogurt is..... cultured grade A milk. Period. I just went over to the Yoplait site, and, while they do give nutritional info on the Family Pack you mention, they don't actually give an ingredient list. Huh. Anyway, I trust, if you say no chemicals, then there aren't. But, just wanted to point out that fat free yogurt is not laden with chemicals. Sugar free yogurt is a different story.

I used to hate yogurt and I was worried on JC as to what I would do. I truly LOVE the Yoplait Light yogurts. They have lots of flavors. I agree, some have a bit of a fake taste to it, but it doesn't bother me to much.

They have a cherry cobbler that is amazing. I had the cinnamon bun or cinnamon struessel yesterday and it was okay, very cinnamony and a bit fakey tasting. But I'd still have it again. I love the variety of flavors as well.

Sometimes when I've just had enough yogurt I put it into a smoothie with my fruits for the day so it doesn't feel like I'm just eating yogurt. I use the yoplait light yogurt and then throw in a banana and strawberries or i do yogurt, orange juice, and a banana. Both of these type smoothies give me my yogurt and 2 fruits.

Hope that helps a little bit.

I do yogurt sometimes, yoplait ff sugar free, but I also like to get milk in by tossing a bit of light (or reduced fat) grated cheddar cheese on top of my salad or my lunch burrito, or adding a little extra low fat grated mozarella on top of a pizza or the lasagna or penne pasta. You have to be careful not to go overboard but I like to spruce stuff up with cheese rather than have a milk serving most of the time.

Hi---try adding a flavored fat free yogurt to the Fruit and Granola Breakfast.....I do that and let it sit for a few minutes for the flavors to mix and get the granola a little less crunchy. Its pretty good and VERY filling!

I love the french toast and it comes with berries. I take the berries and have it with my snack which is blueberry yoghurt. I get Publix (the supermarket I go to)'s brand. and it is wonderful.

I actually don't like the Anytime bars so I've substituted yogurt in it's place. There are very few yogurts that I like but have found Yopliat Light Thick & Creamy to be great. It's fat-free and only 100 calories but the best part is the consistency. It is very thick and creamy, almost like pudding and has a better texture so I don't feel like I'm eating yogurt. Like others, I sometimes add fruit to volumize it and get my daily fruits in. The flavors are somewhat limited but Yoplait has been adding more flavors recently.

I buy the fat free yogurt at Trader Joes- Vanilla and sprinkle cinnamon over it. I don't drink milk so this is how I get my milk in. Hope this helps! Jo Ann
