QUOTE(2-one-of-a-kind @ Oct 8 2009, 02:34 AM) *
Hello everyone,

I have been having a whirl-wind kind of month...
Eating off plan, due to my emotions...
Struggling with my Econ class...
I have been torn between finding a balance

Dear friend, I am hearing you! Please know we are sometimes harder on ourselves than we would let anyone else be. I have to recommit to be good to myself often. I was listening to Touchstones today and it talked about the language: I deserve to ..... rather than the "I should" stuff.

I am sending you a big hug and some positive energy. All the best to you!

Hello Jane,

How are you?...

I have been swamped with kittie rescue projects and living in my economics book and applying my online study aids...next time I know where my weaknesses are with being a teacher/student is not working for me with the online classes...I really need to be in a formal class room with interactive activity...live and learn...

I will have to re-commit to getting back on my "new healthy lifestyle" (choices) to get to the goal weight to be my healthiest...

I have been missing my nightly walks with all the rain and I have gained weight...I also have given into the desserts and halloween candy...hmmm...hmmm...I so need to recognize the "Why" of my eating off program...feeling sorry for myself and so on...now I need to correct my ways...being aware is one of the corrections that I need to apply to my daily self talk...baby steps...

I will have to get on the scale to see where I land...I think I have to drop 12.lbs...it could be more...scary...

I will check in later...

Thanks, one-of-a-kind

Hello all...I finally had a chance to check out the website. I recently started as a JC member and was happy to see there is such a large support group here in the DFW area. So, after letting myself get "comfy" for the past 4 years and finding my cholesterol and BP were in the high range...I decided enough! So, I just turned 35 a few weeks ago and took the steps to get back to the shape I was in back between 25-30. There is no reason I can't!! I became lazy and really just didn't care.

This past year has been increasingly stressful as many can attest to. The economy has really been the source of my stress. Not knowing if I am going to be among the millions who will be losing their jobs. I have actually been fortunate in that my position in HR has allowed me to act as an outplacement resource for employees affected by reductions within my firm. So, one can only imagine that it is incredibly depressing and stressful. Being an emotional and unconscious eater...I didn't care.

Today is a new day!! The good news is I am heading in the right direction...the scale is down on my quest to lose 30+. I am meeting with a personal trainer today to kick-start my workouts again. I've also joined 24 HR Fitness thru work...and have been 3 days in a row. I call it my "ME" time. I forgot how much I really liked going to the gym. Even better...the invention of the iPhone makes cardio workouts so much less boring!!

Anyway...I look forward to getting to know some of you here.

Good luck to everyone!!

Hello all! I'm new to the forums but not to the website although I really haven't been using it like I should. I've been signed up with jenny craig for 4 months and I have lost 22lbs. I'm going to weigh in tomorrow and I'm excited. I lost 4lbs last week. I started at 314 and am now at 292. My goal weight is 190 at least because I'm built larger and I don't wanna get too small and look weird. lol Anyways, I just thought I would post in here because I'm in the DFW area. I go to the cedar hill office for my consultations. I completely adore my JC consultant. She rocks!!! =D Um yeah so hello all and hope to meet a lot of nice people! ^.^ Um oh yeah i'm 27, 5'9"...... so ok bye!!! =DDD

Hey y'all!

2-one-of-a-kind, jump right back on it! You go girl!
Nikki and jlwoods, welcome and best wishes for a great new life... enjoying mine today.

Had a down period this past week, but over it and moving on. At weigh in, stayed the same so no biggie, and I am back on track 100 % JC for the past two days. Will lose some weight this next week.

The best part is I love my yoga class and I'm back to it with full effort.

sleepy tonight - about to crash but wanted to send a shout out - best to you alll....

2-one-of-a-kind, so glad you're getting back to your walks

I've been fairly consistent with my hot yoga for 90 minutes about 4 times a week. I need to include some other workouts besides the stairs, which I do at work.

The weather has been beautiful. Today I'll be at the Arboretum to find out about their plans for a new educational garden for children- 7 acres!

My plan today is JC all the way, yoga tonight at 6

Best to all

Jane, it sounds like you are doing good!!!...

I have come to the conclusion that I made a mistake with taking an online course...what was I thinking...Econ is another language and I thought I could teach myself with reading a book...I need to be in a formal class room with an instructor who will "teach" me what I need to know and understand this material...

But, Yes, I am holding a "C" and I will be grateful for this outcome...what a learning experience this has been...

I will get a break for a few minutes until the next three chapters are due and a discussion report is due, turn in a 30.pt extra credit econ paper and a final test and this class is in the books on Dec 6th-8th...woo hoo...

I will be back to my normal self soon...

How was the trip to the arboretum?...

Thanks, one-of-a-kind

I am new to the board and to Jenny Craig - just started last Wednesday. First weigh in is tomrorow! Hoping to lose about 75 pounds in all.

Suburban mom, physically active turned 40, thyroid stopped working and I kept eating and drinking like I was 25 and still running 5 miles everyday! Time to do something since I don't' recognize myself in the mirror.

So far, so good on the program. I stopped starving after the 3rd day.

I have 3 kids, a husband. I love to play tennis. Volunteer at a cat adoption center.

Happy to have support!

Greetings all, hope you are ending the week on an upswing... I know you'll be glad when your econ class is over, 2-one-of-a-kind!

Sissy, welcome - I've really appreciated the support and information available here on the website.

I just came in from 90 minutes of hot yoga at Sunstone, fixed up some salad and the Turkey Burger - it was great! Sleepy now, gonna read for a while and then beddy bye. Big day tomorrow, ending with DSO concert at the Meyerson tomorrow night: Ravel's Bolero!

best to all,

Jane
